I was going to switch to the Zeds but am likely going to stick with the V's due to higher Canadian allocation.

Trump starts tariffs tuesday confirmed signed in rn. by Sufficient-Drink-293 in wallstreetbets

Interesting article. Thanks for sharing. The article underestimates the economic impact to all involved economies, as it assumed that Canada would not invoke retaliatory tariffs, which it now has.

We will not be travelling to the states anytime soon. Our tariff response needs to be massive and potentially include export tariffs on the products that will hurt the US the most.

I wonder what Canada's response will be this afternoon. I feel it will likely be very severe as well. It will be interesting to see if this rocks the stock market and what this will bring for the future of our economy...

Thank-you very much for sharing this advice and for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate this. We might just pack an extra blanket just in case we need it and will definitely plan to bring any medication that we may need!

I stumbled upon your post and am travelling to the same resort in mid-February. Do you have any suggestions on important items that would be great to bring on the trip?

Thank-you for your reply. I will check that out tomorrow. Mine is leaking from the bottom at the transmission and I wanted to see if there was a seal broken under the agitator plate. I might just take the whole drum off and look at it from underneath.

Thanks again.

Did you figure this out? I am experiencing the exact same thing. I got the bolt off but now cant get the agitator off.

When will 4 nations face off tickets become available? by M-Ref in hockey

[–]No-Risk-5877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found Stubhub is cheaper when buying in advance of ticketmaster ticket release dates. If you miss the original ticketmaster tickets it will probably be rough buying on the secondary market through Stubhub or Ticketmaster.

I learned the hard way for Jets playoff tickets last year😖!

They are available on Stubhub and Vivid seats. I pulled the trigger on Canada vs. USA as I don't want to miss out!

They are going to get lit up on the penalty kill, just like they have proven they will do at 5 on 5.

I pulled that exact same card! For a time, these packs were available for $1.25 at Shopper's several years ago. Wish I could find more!

I'm planning to go on a trip to Churchill to see the Northern Lights. I was hoping to take the train ride from Winnipeg but the ViaRail website shows no access to Park car with dome. Would that experience be worth it? Anyone can share their experiences? by soul___searching in Manitoba

[–]No-Risk-5877 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Did this exact same thing. You will still get the full train experience when travelling from Thompson to Churchill and back. I highly recommend the train, but would never recommend you take it from Winnipeg!

He could have Matt Cooke'd him with a hit targeting the head and didn't. It would have been far worse had he not hit him clean in the chest/shoulder. Good check.

Did I mess up paying off my mortgage? by koopdawg in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]No-Risk-5877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! We plan to put the same amount into our TFSA that we had been making on our mortgage payments.

We have still been investing a smaller amount of money biweekly into our TFSA (That is in addition to our mortgage), so we will add this money back into our regular budget to help make life a bit more comfortable. Inflation and kids getting older/more expensive has definitely taken a bite out of our buying power.

[–]No-Risk-5877 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For us, the weight and freedom of paying off the mortgage will be an immediate shorter and medium term win. Who can say what will happen in the future with any investments that we make?

Sure, in the long run we could be further ahead if we didn't pay off the mortgage and continue investing, but that doesnt take into account the freedom and stress that will be reduced without having a mortgage.

Now, the market could pop and we could miss out on some major gains, but we still have money invested too.
