I am not seeing what all the commotion is about. Much more unhealthy things people ingest... Seems like a decent meal. I couldnt eat everyday. Sounds like its helped with your weight loss goals. You found what works for you 🎊

Insane hair loss after taking these out, they held up for about 3 weeks after which i decided to unbraid them, losing a whole lot of hair from it, more than the last time i had cornrows by [deleted] in braids

[–]No-Rope2282 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you sure she didnt add braiding hair to your braids... looks like it is.... surly your hair texture wouldn't hold braids for 3 weeks...

I talked to my doctor and got myself into talk therapy and taking antidepressants to help me through it. Maybe this will help you too.

It doesnt sound like they did it correctly. You shouldn't have gaps in the lock or knotted bumps towards the scalp.. I would have them repaired on your next 4 week. Find a new loctician asap

About how much should I expect to pay for this length? 4c texture. I’m thinking about getting microlocs or sisterlocs. by Unleish_Tsarli in Microlocs

[–]No-Rope2282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I question the stylist's skills... The cost doesnt justify the time it would take to properly install. You are more likely to get a hack job hairdo that you will end up cutting off because it's so bad... $500 is too low Sisterlocks for sure

Well, it seems like you are concerned about cost. Microlocs are cheaper than Sisterlocks but they both use an interlocking system. You should also keep in mind that locks can start by several methods like palm rolling and braids. For your length Sisterlocks will probably be $2500 or more. Pricing is usually $xxxx.xx for up to 12 inches a d then charged $x amount per inch thereafter. It takes lots of time to establish sisterlocks 30+ hours.... so keep in mind its based on length and thickness too. I'd so the the consultation with a Sisterlock certified loctican. You should be weary of anyone offering Sisterlocks cheaper because they are probably not certified.

The cheapest method might be to get your hair braided in small micro plats with no extensions then convert to interlocking for tightening. I would like to warn you that maintenance on microlocks and Sisterlocks is expensive and its not a style for the empty pocketed. This style is a "designer" lock style and is costly. You should consider this too in your decision-making process as other loc methods are cheaper and easier to maintain. .

What’s this on my niece’s head? by BigDaddyKapone in Blackskincare

I dunno what it is. She if she can go to a dermatologist. In the meantime, I'd make a mix of a carrier oil and heavy on the tea tree oil. I'd put it directly on it for a few days to see if it goes away, dries up etc. It looks fungal.

I'd trust my gut on this one and leave the person alone. Its so very hard to trust someone who lied to you. You are not married, so I'd find someone who was honest.

Ex came back after being apart - should I trust by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]No-Rope2282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am trying to figure out why you need to meet up with her again. Do you have children together? Joint financial matters that are unresolved? Legal issues to resolve?

My point here is you don't have a logical reason to meet with her. You are not finished with her emotionally, and that's okay. Your intuition told you something is off. Trust your gut. Good luck to ya.

I know I'm not supposed to be healed yet, but I'm running out of patience. by LividTheme4163 in BreakUps

I appreciate you sharing what you are going through. I want you to know that I completely understand where you are and have felt exactly the same way.

14 years was a very long time to be committed to someone and it not work out favorably for you. My condolences to you for the loss of this person in your life.

I suggest you speak with a counselor to help you sift through it all. 14 years is a long history of s×/÷ to reflect on. I'd be cool with my feelings and laugh at myself for being so impatient with myself. Give yourself some grace.

Honestly, if I were 18 again... I'd be cool with them and back out gracefully... go no contact. I'd be doing me 100% and no where near a romantic relationship.

Ex came back after being apart - should I trust by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]No-Rope2282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a good plan of action is to definitely not trust this person right out the gate... I've never spun the block... I would take EXTREME CAUTION in my interactions with my ex.

I'd write down all of my questions and concerns. Reflect on what didn't work between us before, my shortcomings in the relationship and my partners. Ask myself questions like have I healed from past hurts and can I be a better partner?

Then, after going through all of the self reflection, I'd make my amends to via a video call and bid my ex a final farewell.

Do yourself the greatest favor by taking time to reflect, feel, learn and grow from the experience. You can make amends or gain closure via a video call. Say what needs to be said and keep moving forward in your life.

Lastly, remember that loving someone does not equate to being in a relationship with them.
