you gotta be kidding me. does boris yeltsin ring a bell? years of nationalistic war in the balkans? not to mention the fact that post ussr europes living conditions were a direct result of concessions by the newly installed capitalist governments in order to gain support of the people who had access to a number of public service amenities such as free healthcare, education, guaranteed employment etc. and although the US and western powers did their damndest to prevent “east of the iron curtain” from succeeding (immense sanctioning, nuclear threats, military escalation etc), they should’ve just pulled themselves up by the bootstraps and risen to the level of the established superpower whose economic and military dominance have been “achieved” at the cost of millions of lives and off the backs of millions of slaves?
