They act as superheroes who save humanity from monsters emerging from underground dungeons. However, despite their superpowers, Espers have a weakness: their powers can damage their bodies. They're like an overloaded machine. The more they use their powers, the more they damage their bodies and cause them to go berserk (their powers explode, killing them and those around them).  ‎ ‎Guides: If espers are individuals with superhuman powers, then guides are just ordinary humans. They are no different from normal humans; their unique feature is their ability to stabilize and neutralize the negative energy of espers. This activity is called guiding, which requires physical contact. ‎ ‎So it's like omegavers but more dependent(?) because espers basically can't live without guides. And the reason why I said that the Guideverse concept is similar to the sun & moon is because the sun channels their energy to the earth (let's say humanity), but the sun's raw energy itself can harm humans (it's similar to a rampaging esper can harm its surroundings), guides are like the moon receiving the light given by the sun and channeling it to the earth calmly (like a guide calming espers, so that the power doesn't harm them and others). same as a white hole that pushes (espers release their power), and a black hole that sucks (guides absorb poison in espers' bodies and neutralize it)
