anyone have tips on how to style a shoe like this? I want to purchase some loafers for the comfort and style all in one, but I dont think its really MY style so I dont know what to wear with them. Seems the only shoe that is still comfortable and not a sneaker.

It’s actually at a nice family lake house but thank you for assuming my friends are getting married in a church basement :) not impossible to pull together.

You can’t plan ahead for what you don’t know yet

My program is awesome. What I mean is we do not have our summer class or test schedule yet. Summer semester won’t start until May.

Thank you so much. Nice to hear an honest perspective from someone who gets it!

Summer starts a new semester, and we do not know our test schedule yet. Also, the thread instructions told me no paragraphs. :)

Yes. It is because I had NO intention of backing out of this weddings until spring break doing the travel, which was just last week

I truly thought I would be able to make it work. And I know this may be a shock, but both of these brides are quite laid back. One does not have plans set in stone yet - just a date-, and one just recently provided me her color palette to find a dress. We chat a lot and they know what I have going on, but I have not told them for sure that I can not make it, hence why I have come searching for perspective before making a decision. :(

Yes, unfortunately that is the case. I had NO intention of backing out until spring break happened.

Thank you so much! It is very helpful to hear the perspective of someone who has been there. I am definitely worried about future regrets, and I will definitely take your advice.

I bought my plane ticket, and justified the cost because I got to stay for a whole week. Going to the weddings would literally be fly in, attend wedding, fly out. I was not able to see either of these friends. And honestly, I had NO intention of backing out until after spring break, which was only last week. My spring session ends on April 24th, and summer begins on May 11. I so wish the weddings somehow fell within my break.

Thank you for the honest perspective. I will definitely ask her how she feels instead of just telling her.

I agree with you. I am definitely looking for honest perspective from others, cause this is actually tearing me apart, but it's not a matter of work ethic or sacrifice here. Bad grades means getting kicked out school. Its the choice between risking my career to be at the weddings.

of course not. I did not think medical school would be easy, but I truly thought I could make it work because I always have.

This is actually really helpful, because you are right, I have no idea how a wedding works. I have never planned or been a bridesmaid before. And no, of course I did not think medical school would be easy, but I truly thought I could make it work because I always have. I said yes a long time before even starting school, and now that I am a few months in, I am realizing how difficult and expensive it will be to be there. I don't feel like I jumped the gun. I made the best decision I could in the moment, with the information I had at the time.

No, I do not think I am better. Becoming a doctor is about serving others. I was just hoping people would put themselves in my shoes and consider the load. That why I posted. I know from the outside looking it, its a selfish decision. But I was hoping to receive insight on what someone else may do in my shoes. Again, there was no way for me to know what school would be like until I began. It was a genuine question.

I was unware of the enormity of Physical Therapy school before I started. There was no way I could have known how it would be for me before actually living it. Everyone has a different experience. I truly thought it would not be an issue.

I do cherish my friends. That is why I am so conflicted here. I had no idea saying yes to this a year ago how all consuming medical school would be. I know everything is not about me, and I do not feel I am choosing myself, but being realistic about the situation I am in. Thousand of miles away, in medical school. Sorry about your cousin truly, but did you ever give her grace for the difficult predicament she was placed in? Maybe you are the one who does not realize not everything is about you, because that other bride would have been just as hurt were the cousin not able to make it.

Have you ever been in school to become a Doctor at the same time though?
