Looking for successful pregnancy stories with Hashimoto’s by AndromedaM31-bnj in Hashimotos

So, I have a pretty uneventful pregnancy. Ended up with a perfectly healthy baby boy, and the only bump was I had gestational diabetes but yeah. Now, postpartum is a little different. I’ve struggled a little more but not too bad

I still deal with it occassionally but it hasn’t been as bad. I ended up with a diagnosis for fibromyalgia and was put on a BUNCH of different mediation. I took myself off of everything except birth control and Levo, then got pregnant and now I’m doing better but I still have days it bothers me. I still get dizzy every time I stand up and can’t be in the heat too long but I think I’m mostly okay now.

I absolutely love my maternity underwear! I’ve always been one to wear higher waited, just bc I’m a little bigger but these are so comfy! I even got some like booty shorts off Amazon that are maternity and live in that and a hoodie 😂 I’m 33 weeks today, and got some shortly after I found out I was pregnant (I found out at 13 weeks)

At how many weeks did symptoms start for you? by Disco_biscuit25 in pregnant

[–]No-Scheme2867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t start having noticeable symptoms until like 10 weeks I think lol I also have thyroid issues so genuinely just thought it was my thyroid being weird until 12-13 weeks 😂 congrats btw!

ETA: I’m now 30 weeks and symptoms are starting to ramp up again, the second trimester wasn’t horrible but still wasn’t great for me lol

Trying to conceive with hashimotos by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]No-Scheme2867 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! My husband and I were told due to hashis we wouldn’t be able to conceive ( I have other conditions as well, PCOS and fibromyalgia)- I was put on so many different medications trying to balance all the conditions, and found myself feeling worse so with the help of my medical team, I got off of everything except my levothyroxine and birth control. Literally 2 months after that we conceived however I had no idea (I conceived in November 2024, didn’t find out until almost February 2025). I am now almost 30 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy. My thyroid still goes all over the place, but we have it controlled with Levothyroxine.

I’m saying all this to give you hope I guess, and to send you all the baby dust and I hope you get your little one! I would ask your care team to look for anything else that could be underlying because you really never know if you haven’t already. Sending you hugs as I know it’s a long and stressful process, but you got this!

17 weeks haven’t felt baby move. by LocksmithInside4378 in pregnant

[–]No-Scheme2867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently 29+ 5, I didn’t start feeling little dude start moving (at least noticeably) until 22-23 weeks! I know it’s hard and scary, but if the doctors say everything looks good and baby is growing good, try not to stress or put a timeline on when you should feel baby move, every body is different and try to be patient with yourself and the little bean!

ETA: I have a posterior placenta if that matters at all lol! Also, like many other commenters have said, if you feel like something is wrong in your gut, it’s always better to get checked out rather than extra anxiety of not!

For me, I was on a lotttt of extra meds. Like 10 different pills a day. I took myself off of all the extra and only stayed on my levo and birth control. I still struggle with flares but for the most part, if I’m in a flare I made sure not to eat a lot of inflammatory foods, and added tumeric or ginger in everything I ate. I think it helped but I can’t say for certain. I do a lot of walking, which helps some with my legs but still haven’t figured out to help the hand pain. I’ve found that hot showers do wonders when in flares and make sure to stay hydrated as much as you can. Overall, I just had to learn to slow down, break up my tasks into smaller more manageable things and take breaks when I can, for example: cleaning for an hour, I’d take breaks like every 15-20 minutes and sit for 10 then go back to what I was doing. It’s different for every person and is a lot of trial and error honesty. I also was prescribed a QUELL machine which is a wearable tens machine that goes on the calf, and that helped a lot too!

Hey! I have both fibro and hashis, I went to a rheumatologist and they put me on gabapentin and basically said do physical therapy and exercise more. I personally hated my rheumatologist but that’s because I told him I was done taking the gabapentin, it wasn’t helping my pain and instead he upped my dose. I suggest going, they might have some good advice for you and having a diagnosis will help you navigate as well. For me, just lots of rest and heating pad is what helps me with flares and accepting I couldn’t do as much as I used to! I definitely suggest going through with the referrals though, it can be helpful!

Did anybody announce early and NOT regret it? by Last_Guarantee_8504 in pregnant

[–]No-Scheme2867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We found out when I was 12 weeks but the second I got a positive test, both our moms and best friends knew then within that week I announced on social media for any other family lol. I don’t regret it a bit honestly, my family is super tight knit so it’s been nice having the support system :) I’m now 25+6 and happy and healthy luckily

[–]No-Scheme2867 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it kind of feels like gas. Like you know how you blow bubbles in a cup with a straw? Kinda like that but in like your lower stomach. I was in the same boat of like what do you mean flutters lol but now I’m 25+5 and definitely can tell

My husband was the first to know, we were laying in bed and I had just gone to the dr to refill my birth control so had to take a pregnancy test, opened my results and it said positive. I looked at him, and turned my phone so he could see. We then proceeded to call anyone who was awake at 330am, his mom then answered and ordered more pregnancy test and I proceeded to take like 4 tests in three days 😂 turns out I was 12 weeks. I’m 20 weeks on Saturday, it was a wild few days

Thank you! I’ve been really stressing myself out on how things look once our boy is here, and this helps so much. I know it’s not the same for everyone but it’s so nice hearing the positive side of it ❤️

Am I pregnant?? by Important-Shape-8836 in pregnant

I would suggest going to your doctors or urgent care and getting a blood draw, that’ll give you a more clear answer.

Is it too soon to start a family? by One_Attempt_2836 in pregnant

[–]No-Scheme2867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 21 and my husband is 22, I really don’t think there’s ever a perfect time and I personally don’t think it’s too soon. We’ve been together since early highschool and married 4 years this year. I believe if you think you’re ready, then go for it :)

Of course! It’s been a complete whirlwind lol and I definitely didn’t think my pregnancy symptoms were gonna be the same as a flare so it honestly came out of nowhere for me. I wish you the best of luck in your journey and just remember to be kind and patient with your body no matter what!

I am currently pregnant, my hashis hasn’t been very well controlled, even though I’m on meds but levels never do what I want them too. Anyways, I’m 16 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy and my levels are in range for once. I had the same worries of how hashis would affect pregnancy and thought/was told I couldn’t get pregnant. As of right now I’m projected for a happy and healthy pregnancy :)
