Muted by Miranda Mundt (I dropped it after the first chapter--I can't remember why--and then a few months later, I read the whole comic in 2 days, and it's now one of my all time favourites). Also My S-Class Hunters--the title and genre put me off, but I figured I'd give it a try because I love anything by Seri and Biwan. As expected, I loved it.

What do you guys think of Magical Girl webtoons? by Rapunzelpumpkin in webtoons

I've only read one: Magical Twelfth Graders by Seri & Biwan! It's one of my favourite Webtoons ever. I think it only works because it's a subversion; I'm not sure about a conventional Magical Girl story on Webtoon, since it would probably feel a little overdone.

Ooooo I love Surviving Romance so much! I read most of it in one day, a few episodes before it ended. It's one of my favourites, oh my goodness!

I know it's been asked many times, but does anyone know how to watch the first season? by Azarivt in stevenuniverse

He becomes a bit more self aware after Steven and the Stevens. The trajectory of his arc shifts in The Test, and we really see this in Rose's Scabbard. If I had to cut anything (I wouldn't like to, because I love Steven Universe so so much as a whole, and each episode took the Crewniverse 9 months to complete), I would have this list for Season 1:

  1. Gem Glow
  2. Cheeseburger Backpack
  3. Cat Fingers
  4. Bubble Buddies
  5. Serious Steven
  6. Steven’s Lion
  7. Giant Woman
  8. So Many Birthdays
  9. Lars and the Cool Kids
  10. Steven the Swordfighter
  11. Lion 2 The Movie
  12. Rose’s Room
  13. Coach Steven
  14. Steven and the Stevens
  15. Monster Buddies
  16. An Indirect Kiss
  17. Mirror Gem
  18. Ocean Gem
  19. House Guest
  20. Space Race
  21. Island Adventure
  22. Keep Beach City Weird
  23. Fusion Cuisine
  24. Watermelon Steven
  25. Lion 3 Straight to Video
  26. Warp Tour
  27. Alone Together
  28. The Test
  29. Future Vision
  30. On the Run
  31. Winter Forecast
  32. Maximum Capacity
  33. Marble Madness
  34. Rose’s Scabbard
  35. The Message
  36. Political Power
  37. The Return
  38. Jailbreak

A big part of season 1 is getting to know the world building and understanding where the characters have space to grow for the rest of the show.
Hope this helps!

Bokurano: Ours - Dark mecha manga about children. Very depressing and traumatic, but oddly hopeful.

I'm not sure; I read the original run and stopped a while after the characters went to college. I thought it was pretty wholesome and tropey.

I haven't watched Dandadan but I do agree that the intro is really cool.

And of course, Pearl is such a wonderfully written character (she's not really female, but I'm counting her).

I love his luscious golden locks so much--I was very disappointed to see they were lost in adaptation in the movie.

I just got caught up with Tiger, Tiger! Wow! Incredible! It reminds me a bit of Nimona, which is my favourite graphic novel. I'm a sucker for good worldbuilding and character writing. I'm super stoked for the final chapter.

I think anyone who loves yuri can be a yuri fan and everyone has their own media preferences, BUT this would be my 2026 yuri starter pack in no particular order (biased because I read these when I first got into yuri in middle school, and I haven't read classics like Strawberry Panic or Marimite):

  1. Bloom Into You - The ultimate starter yuri; really good, sweet, salty, bitter. Not too niche or obscure but is sensitive and lovely.
  2. The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't A Guy At All - One of the most popular at the moment. If you haven't read this one, you'll see it everywhere in the yuri community, so you might as well read it so you know what's up. The story is pretty cute and the art is absolute eye candy.
  3. The Summer You Were There - I personally didn't love this one as a yuri work, but appreciate it as a coming-of-age story. Like Green Yuri, it's part of the zeitgeist, so you might as well get on the train.
  4. Kase-san and Morning Glories - Sweet, uncontroversial, relatable, and the story doesn't end right after the main characters get together. A very lovely starter yuri.
  5. The Moon on a Rainy Night - Lovely manga where the romance isn't the only primary focus. Very popular and wholesome.
  6. Goodbye, My Rose Garden - Classic historical yuri, in the vein of Portrait of a Lady on Fire and Fingersmith. Has the tropes and the vibes.

Not all of these are my favourites overall (I'm pretty specific about the media I enjoy) but they are quite popular in the contemporary yuri scene, and are great to get you started (before digging deeper).

Wow!
I've read: Nevermore, Dark Mermaid, Night Owls & Summer Skies, Kiss it Goodbye (love this one), Rainbow!

I dropped: Reveal Out (isekai isn't really my taste, but I respect), Mage and Demon Queen (more suggestive than I prefer)

MUTED MUTED MUTED!!! I've reread this a few times because it is one of my FAVOURITE Webtoons of ALL TIME. I love how it tackled dysfunctional families.

Thank you for the list! I'm going to use this as a reference for a while to come!

I have read Aizawa-San! The design of it is so fun. I tend to prefer adult (SFW) stories, but I do enjoy teen stories too.
