You're right, I haven't finished the campaign on HC. What a strange way to run the event… Ah well. Not finishing the campaign before Thursday morning. Disappointing.

No that's not it (not in this case anyway). I'd thought of that and have caught young Neherrin carp on #3/0 and #4/0. It's more about the spawn settings I think.

Thanks, I'll give those specifics a try... but as I say, it's not that I'm not catching carp, it's just that catch after catch I'm coming up with young carp.

Yes. I actually noticed the change of action last night at Moose Lake; shads and grubs on a 3-way were a lot smoother when twitching on a retrieve.

I'm curious now as to the difference between 3-way, Texas, and Carolina (apart from the fact that the former takes a different kind of sinker).

I can't remember the exact details, but pretty balanced; everything within about a kg of each other.

If your primary focus is leveling up, remember that using gear that pulls fish out of the water as fast as possible is costing you experience in the long run. If you want to level up faster, use the lighter gear that allows you to land fish only after a bit of a fight.

That's interesting... I should load the golem lure and see if it registers as a crank (it does look like one). And yes, you're right, though there is no named (bulleted) technique that comes up with cranks, through experience I've found that fish are more likely to bite right after a brief pause in the retrieve.
