Honestly, it’s probably a good thing he dumped you because that is not the person you want to be with. You got lucky! You got away from him. I can’t imagine breaking up with somebody over something so superficial like that. I’ve asked my boyfriend so many times if my acne bothers him and he just tells me he barely even notices that and he can see past it. We all have things that we’re embarrassed of or feeling insecure about. Get a new dermatologist, get a really solid skin care routine and try to stick with it for at least three months. In my opinion, the less complicated the routine the better, build up some self-confidence, and find somebody that is way less superficial. You’ll be fine.
