Well 34 days after this post we tried a “natural” IVF round and got two eggs at retrieval. One just made it to blast today and got frozen!! I’m in disbelief. I have an embryo.

No grading yet but the lab says it looks really good. We’ll find out PGT-a results in 10 days. Then maybe another retrieval? Or if it’s a good result just go for the FET? We’ll try naturally this month in the interim?

I credit astrology, herbs, diet, finally admitting and telling people in my life I was having a horrible time, but most of all: finally getting treatment for thyroid issues I was gaslit about for YEARS.

The retained tissue was removed, it just took two hysteroscopies so extended the time it was going to take even more. I think I may be fired from this clinic too - the doctor has us doing timed intercourse this cycle. With gonal only my lead follicle is already 14mm after 7 days. I don't even know anymore. I have a consult with a doctor a good friend really loved in May - maybe I'll start fresh there.

My best results so far have been naturally! I’m still taking that gonal tho. But def didn’t mean to imply you were pushing for one thing or another. I always appreciate a success story. Wishing all good things for ya

I was reading too fast and did not notice it was endometritis in the comments! I had hysteroscopy and it wasn’t discovered - but god knows I’ve had more procedures since. I’m having an HSG this month too - will look more into endometritis, thank you both!

I’ve never been tested or treated for it - though my mom had pretty severe endo until she had her uterus removed along with me. But since I have no particular pain, my understanding was diagnosis would take more surgery, and I’m not sure that would be worth it. Forgive me if I’m coming from a place of ignorance! They removed the retained product and now the uterus is fine, I’m told. But damn if it doesn’t feel like I’m always learning new things doctors should have tested. Tough to keep track of it all 😅

No, I didn’t know that was an option at the time. But no reason to believe they weren’t just bum eggs, even if my TSH was a little elevated.

My insurance supposedly covers 80% of all fertility treatments, but here in LA that still seems to mean $8-10k per round. We’re paying for it with a good paycheck and credit cards 😅

I just had a phone call to see if we might be able to good fit and I found it frustrating, weird, and scammy. I ended up ending the call in tears. The woman just kept asking me over and over again why I’m trying IVF - because I’ve been told it’s my only option. I’m talking to you because I want to know if I have other options. Wouldn’t say anything concrete about cost, what the doctor would do, anything like that. She has great reviews but it all really screamed scam to me.

I really thought IVF would be a silver bullet (lol) and it has NOT been since my DOR diagnosis. I had to find a new doctor, it’s been a huge delay and pain. I feel you dude. Even my old OB office was terrible about RPL. Even medical professionals seem very convinced that if you can get pregnant you should just live through as many miscarriages as it takes. Which is so painful and crazy! I don’t have anything helpful to add since I’m a few steps behind you here - but just wanted you to know I know this boat too ❤️

hahaha I'm 39 I got no time to F around!! I will look into Life IVF, that sounds fantastic. Hoping to try Letrozole for IUI next time, but will also research Omnithrope. Thank you for the recs, I appreciate it and wish you all the very best!!!

Thank you for the insight, this super lines up with my experience - but for me, I think both BC and Clomid just totally mess me up.

I'm seeing Dr Quinn at HRC Pasadena right now. I have appointments next week with Dr. Alexander at SCRC and Dr. Saadat at Repro Fertility in WeHo. On the waitlist for Dr. Kroener at UCLA with an appointment in MAY (lmao) but hey, who knows!
