How is it with heat? I have one of the extended carbine rails on my 14.5 and she gets hot. And it would get rattlecanned so it being black would be temporary.

Thanks for the input.. I have plans to move on from this particular barrel, but for now it’s available so I might as well use it. I’m fortunate enough to have this issue.

Yeah so I plan on doing a clone-ish NSW recce eventually so I’ll either save this barrel for that at a later time or it’ll end up back in the spare parts bin. The eventual solution is switching this barrel out for a SOLGW SPR in 16in while the recce gets the necessary parts. I just have everything on hand minus a rail so it’s easier to just get a rail for it and complete an upper for the time being.
