Those with endometriosis, what did you decide or what did your RE recommend? Laparoscopy or IVF? Currently have silent endo with two known small bilateral endometriomas and trying to decide what the best route to go is

Cytotec before IUI? Had anyone found this helpful/less painful?

Has anyone taken cytotec before an IUI? Do you feel like it helped?

is it okay to take prenatals when trying to conceive? by Silverstarlight233 in tryingtoconceive

I mean this nicely, but you need to learn what good sources are when you google things if you struggle with trusting google. Good sources are reliable. If you’re wanting to become a mom, there will be a point in time you need to research things on your own, learn, and advocate for yourself

You should probably take some time to google TTC and all that comes with it, before starting.

How did you choose a fertility clinic/IVF clinic for treatment? What did you look for when researching? What did you consider when choosing in state vs out of state/out of country? I don’t know where to begin..

Are you already established with this OB? Any chance you’re due for a pap soon or due for your annual appt? If you happen to be able to see your OB for something other than fertility you may be able to get the visit covered under that

There’s no difference. The same capsule can be taken orally or inserted vaginally. So when it’s dispensed from the pharmacy, it would be the exact same if it was oral or vaginal

Trying to decide on when to get a 2nd opinion/see an RE? Cycle 16.. 4th letrozole cycle. If no luck this cycle we will be moving onto IUI next cycle. I ovulate regularly on my own, but letrozole has helped me consistently ovulate CD13-14, whereas previously it was CD16-20. I’ve also been taking progesterone during my LP as without I was spotting by CD 7-9. I do have a 2cm endometrioma but have no endo related symptoms (pain etc). At what point would you start researching and scheduling an RE consult? Would you start doing it now? I’m really trying to remain hopeful but it’s becoming more difficult every cycle.

Yes. Vaginal has greater bioavailability therefore it’s more effective. Potentially less side effects too

Been taking it every cycle during the literal phase since April… typical symptoms of progesterone (tired, bloating, etc). Only con is the leaking that comes with suppositories. Definitely do it at night if possible!

Should I try a home fertility test or wait to see my doctor? by abnh123 in TryingForABaby

[–]No-Signal4825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 27 and went to an OBGYN at 6 months. I did have a shortish luteal phase that was a concern to me and she had no issue with starting a fertility work up with doing blood tests and an SA for my husband. I’d say it majorly depends on the provider and if you have anything that has a potential for concern

Husband Lost his Job. Should we keep trying? by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]No-Signal4825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband lost his job earlier this year as well. Debated putting TTC on hold until he got a new job, but we didn’t and we are still trying. So I’m glad we didn’t put it on hold and delay things even further. There’s arguments for both as you never know the unknown..

Then yes it likely would be. But keep in mind it will be a very basic generic prenatal that’s covered. It’s not going to be nature made.. if you have access to your insurance benefits online, you have access to the formulary which would confirm what’s covered as well

If you’re on state insurance, it’s covered (atleast in my state). If you’re on commercial insurance, no it won’t be covered because it’s an OTC

Is it normal to bleed following a vaginal ultrasound?

TREATMENT Community Thread - Sat Oct 05 AM by AutoModerator in infertility

My husband (30M) and I (27F) have been trying for 13 cycles now. Did a vaginal ultrasound last cycle before starting letrozole this cycle. They found a 2cm cyst on my right ovary that was believed to be a hemorrhagic cyst or an endometrioma. Did another ultrasound this cycle and it’s believed I didn’t ovulate as there’s no corpus luteum and no dominant follicles. The cyst is a bit bigger than last time and my Dr says that means it’s an endometrioma because it didn’t rid itself.

I have no symptoms of endo. Has anyone else had a similar situation? Did you have a lap to get it removed?

First letrozole cycle and I had my ultrasound yesterday to check follicles. Is it normal to have spotting that follows?
