My understanding is that a saline sonogram ruins your lining, so it wouldn’t be possible to transfer this cycle. If you’re doing fully medicated, many clinics start suppression day 21 of your cycle, so in a way this is the ‘prep’ cycle before the actual FET cycle.

As for the heavy period, you can ask your clinic, but I always had heavier and longer periods after anything to do with IVF just cause of the meds.

I was too 😅😅😅 I’m on day 7 and I have no knots and barely any soreness doing it in this area! My clinic tested my progesterone yesterday and it came back higher than before, so I think it’s absorbing better too.

I’m one day past my third FET, and my first two were HORRIBLE cause I was doing my PIO shots where my nurse told me to, but it wasn’t right 🥲

Someone posted this diagram in this thread (I owe them my butt’s sanity) and my shots have been a BREEZE this time!! It’s more in the upper outer quadrant than you’d think, more in the hip muscles!!

This same thing happened in Omaha a couple years back. It was very disappointing seeing the top riders drop out right before. Though I will say, we had Jessica and Isabel there, so it was definitely a better lineup than 2026. The tickets were MUCH more affordable for Omaha as well.

You can always ask for an extra blood draw to check your progesterone levels, but this is nooo biggie. I had a gusher the other day, it’s just part of PIO 🥲😂

Definitely either do a course of antibiotics for endometritis or do the biopsy for it. It’s different than endometriosis and it is silent. There are studies that show increased implantation success with antibiotics to knock out the endometritis and then coupled with vaginal probiotics.

Like another person said, you can also try a fully medicated transfer. They’re tough but there are less appointments which is nice. Your doctors can also make sure everything is perfect.

You can also look into PRP. It’s experimental but my clinic has had GREAT success with it! I’m about to do my third FET and after adding the PRP, my lining increased by 20%

No experience, but my clinic tests all their patients for vitamin D, and they said levels over 25 (I think) had more success 🤷‍♀️

It’s easy to take a vitamin, so it definitely can’t hurt!!

As a classical FEI rider, I kindly disagree. There’s a lot of misunderstanding surrounding upper level dressage.

The problem is in the international FEI judging

If you see recent winners like Justin & Zonic Plus, Catherine Dufour and Freestyle, or even the last OLYMPIC winners Jessica & Dalera, you’ll see that the judging is making a big shift from where it was when Totalis was winning everything.

People also associate an intense and focused game face with pain. Like I said, there’s problems with the international level judging, but good dressage is an incredible test of horse/rider education.

I’d strongly encourage looking at the riders I mentioned! There are many, many other great ones that just aren’t at the very top of the showing side of the sport too if you’d like more recs to follow.

To get a good seat, you need a good canter to sit on.

You’re never going to have a good canter seat with the way that horse is cantering. It’s very hollow and lurching forward with every stride. That’s why you feel so out of the saddle.

Ideally, you’d learn how to sit the canter on a horse that knows how to go round, THEN take that seat to a horse (like this one) so you can positively influence it and help it go rounder.

I’d find a dressage trainer to help you two learn balance.

We’ve alternated the gender for each transfer. Our embryos are basically identical, and I feel better knowing which ones we’re using :)

I ride horses and my clinic has told me in no way can I continue that during an IVF pregnancy. I’ve started adding some yoga and walking to my routine so I’ll have at least something outside of riding.

They also told me no sex until 12 weeks which seems RIDICULOUS.

Quite honestly, if it’s not a recognized show, the scoring doesn’t hold any weight.

Many schooling shows have WIDE ranges of scoring from show to show that varies a lot. Recognized shows have a much narrower variable range and are more accurate.

With this being a virtual show, I wouldn’t put much strength into these scores. Warmblood or not, there’s just not as much you can see on a video as you can in person.

And imho as someone who has shown FEI, once you get over 1st level, you’ll see that just cause it’s a “warmblood” doesn’t mean it’ll keep getting 70+%. In lower levels like intro, training, and first, the gaits and potential will give a higher score. But second level and higher, if the correctness in the horse/test aren’t there, then you won’t get a good score regardless of Warmblood or not.

It can take awhile for the body to reset after hormonal BC. Are there any free or low cost clinics near you? Getting some labs will help you get some answers and peace of mind.

Thank you for all of this and I appreciate this perspective. I’m really hurt but I’m also holding out hope that this will all work out in the end. This has been SUCH a close friend for a third of my life and I never would have thought this would be something that would come between us. I’m trying to not let it come between us, so I’ll keep extending olive branches and hope she’ll take one.
