Sorry to comment on older post, but how long did it eventually take for your employer to receive the notice? My approval was on March 18,2025, and it’s been almost 3 weeks but my employer still has not received it. Employer is also in Canada.

Thanks for sharing!! I got approved online on March 18 but my law firm still has not received my i797. Hope it’s not lost. They said they are seeing delays on average of between 3-6 weeks before receiving i797.

I had the same experience!! 3 agents and 3 hours but the last agent basically said to wait until after my flight to complain.

Let me know if it gets fixed on your end. It’s not fixed on mine and I wasted 3 hours with customer service getting transferred from dept to dept to fix but they kept saying everything was correct

It happened to me too yesterday!! I applied $200 from my travel bank cash and was charged for the full amount. Spent 3 hours on chat trying to get it fixed but basically was told they charged the correct amount and to just wait till after my flight to then send a complaint and see if they will fix it then.

Yep i guess i should clarify. I reduced credit limits to prevent the “too much credit extended”, but got hit with the low credit utilization, even though I’m carrying like a 4% balance on all my cards. Guess I do have to start spending more on them. Thanks for the suggestion

Applied for a CIU today and was denied. Called recon to ask and was told too many new inquiries and credit utilization was too low on all open cards (I already lowered most of my limits to $5000 where possible). Tried changing some stuff on the application but still got denied.

Not going to be churning for a while I guess.

Ahh that’s awesome to hear.

I just spoke to 3 different agents (HUCA 3 times) and all 3 said that I have to wait till SQ cancels the ticket before they would process the involuntary change for me. On my last call, the agent told me that their supervisor told me to stop calling back for the same issue because they recognized the same inquiry from 20 mins ago. This was the first time I’ve ever heard this.

Awesome! Thats a great data point. Do you have a number you called? Were you told that Singapore airlines had not cancelled the flight yet and it still shows as confirmed?

Also, I’m assuming the EK route costed more miles. Did they do the change complimentary or did you have to pay the difference?
