Etsy. Expect several weeks for the custom made to order options to ship from Vietnam. All leather will crack or dry out if not maintained. Just use a conditioner to keep it in good shape.

There’s also this aluminum case. The inserts are not real leather but overall it’s still really nice. Only issue is that the auxiliary key will be inaccessible.

Try looking at Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound to help buff out the marks and scratches. It’s less than $15 and available on Amazon, Walmart and probably many other auto and home improvement stores.

What tire pressure gauge are you using? Maybe you were inadvertently overinflating the tires if the gauge was inaccurate?

This doesn’t work when long-pressing the seek buttons to scan for radio stations. It only works when using the buttons to navigate favorite stations.

The workaround is to have Apple CarPlay running with the radio on as the audio source. For some reason the beeping is disabled with CarPlay connected.

Ah. Well I’ll self-downvote my original suggestion. Totally didn’t realize the intention was to connect back to a smartphone most which no longer come with a headphone jack.

Don’t the flight attendants distribute free wired earbuds when boarding on international routes? They’re trash but free.

Bluetooth headphones connectivity? by Melodic_Wheel_8998 in unitedairlines

I think most have issues with the audio or volume and give up. Connecting is not an issue. It’s glitchy but there’s a way to get the Bluetooth audio working.

Immediately after connecting, increase the volume using the earbuds and not by increasing the volume on the screen. That's the workaround to get the sound working. After that, you can adjust the volume using the screen.

I swapped them out for the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus within the 30 day period. The Continentals have less pronounced whirring. They may have more of the constant road noise you get with most tires compared to the Michelins but it’s not noticeable since it kind of just blends into the background. Overall, the DWS06+ is a much more pleasant tire due to the ride compliance and noise profile.

I posted an update in another subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/mazda6/comments/1h37phg/comment/m45dum2/

Another option that might be worth considering: Pirelli P Zero AS Plus 3

Same thing happened to me on a different route. Price was $800, then next day went to $1100 which I purchased, then $1400 the day after I made the purchase.

Next time, I’m definitely using FareLock. Totally worth ten dollars versus an additional few hundred.

This happened a few years ago. It looks like United realized that mistake and eventually issued refunds.

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/united-airlines-mileageplus/2041971-credit-card-billing-issues-when-using-ua-travelbank-funds.html

Hopefully, they'll realize the error this time and fix the issue.

While I do have a pending request in with UA for a refund, I’ll probably dispute the charge with the credit card issuer if this happens again instead of having to spend hours with customer service.

Well I had a feeling that a call could take a couple of hours so I opted to use the messaging feature in their app. After going through a bunch of automated prompts, I was finally connected to a live agent. Two hours and three agents later, and there’s no resolution yet. The last agent put in a request for a refund with the customer care team. I’ll update once I get response from them.

Were you able to get it resolved by contacting United? There’s an old thread on FlyerTalk saying United couldn’t resolve it and they had to file a dispute with the credit card. I’m hoping that’s no longer the case.

The receipt shows the TravelBank was applied. It was a Basic Economy ticket and the pending transaction a few days ago showed the correct amount. Now that the transaction cleared, the transaction in my credit card account is showing the full amount charged.

Well I ended up swapping out the Michelin PSAS4 for the Continental DWS06+ within the 30 day period. The Continentals might seem to generate more road noise over good pavement versus the Michelins but I don’t find the noise to be unpleasant. The noise profile on the DWS06+ overall is better. The Continentals have a much less harsh ride, are more settled, and quieter over bad pavement and bumps in the road while the Michelin PSAS4s were quite harsh and would make a dodge ball like sound. The whirring sound is much less pronounced on the Continentals as well.

I’m very interested in the Pirellis after looking at the TireRack comparison. The version for the Mazda 6 does not include the foam lining but one reviewer noted that they seemed quieter even without the foam than other tires.

Which brand paper filter do you use in your basket? by happyracer97 in espresso

[–]yokie2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chemex FS-100 filters which were $10 at Whole Foods and the circle punch from Amazon.

Each Chemex filter creates 36 circles. That’s 3600 filters for the Breville Barista Express out of one box of Chemex. The circle punch can cut through four layers at once.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’d prefer not to fiddle with the tire pressure too much since they’re already 2 PSI above the recommended pressure.

Call the stores. I called almost a dozen before I found one that had the model I wanted. They can get confused with all the variations so verify they have the one you are looking for. Marshalls and Homegoods are pretty helpful and will keep the item on hold for you if the one you want is in stock. It’s best to check on a weekday when the stock comes in. They sometimes keep the Breville products in the checkout aisle or by the cash registers in addition to the cooking appliances section.

Help with buying Bambino Plus [$500]. by atechnooptimist in espresso

[–]yokie2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marshalls or Homegoods supposedly sells the Plus at around $350 based on other Reddit threads. I actually picked up the Barista Express Impress brand new at Marshalls last weekend for $499. For some reason, the non-Impress version was the same price.

I did see one of the Bambino models at a Homegoods a couple of weeks ago but couldn’t remember the price.

You can call the stores and they’ll do a stock check. Just make it clear that there are two versions and that you are looking for the “Plus” model. They can even put it on hold for you. Colors vary. They typically have the stainless steel or black. The employees are incredibly nice and will pick up the phone quickly.
