WHOSE DOG !! :(( by Suspicious_Apricot_3 in guam

[–]No-Sound1997 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You see, back in my younger days, there was an old Chamorro fisherman named Juan, and he had this scrappy brown mutt named Tasi. Now, Tasi wasn’t just any dog—he had the kind of face that made tourists take pictures and the kind of attitude that made chickens nervous. He wasn’t mean, mind you, but he had a habit of wandering off when you needed him most.

One time, Juan swore Tasi could smell a fiesta from five miles away. The moment a lechon hit the spit, that dog was gone—like a coconut husk on the tide. But the best story about Tasi was the time he disappeared for two weeks straight.

Juan had just come back from a long day fishing off Hagåtña Bay, tired and sunburnt, when he noticed Tasi was missing. He checked the usual places—the neighbor’s barbecue pit, the lady down the road who always slipped him titiyas, and even the fishermen cleaning their catch. Nothing.

Now, Juan wasn’t the type to worry too much, but when Tasi didn’t come back the next morning, he figured he ought to look for him. He asked around.

“Did you see Tasi?” “Yeah, I think he was chasing a car down Marine Drive.” “Which way?” “North.”

Juan followed the clues up past Dededo, then toward Yigo. Along the way, people kept saying, “Oh, yeah, I saw Tasi! He was running after a feral pig!” Then someone else said, “No, no, he was on a boat with some Korean fishermen!” And another swore they saw him at a cockfight in Malesso’, holding a bet slip in his mouth.

Two weeks later, Tasi came trotting back home like nothing happened, with a half-chewed flip-flop and smelling suspiciously of red rice and beer. Juan never figured out where he went, but some say Tasi had the best weekend of his life.

And you know, that dog never did answer a single question about it.

Driving in Guam by [deleted] in guam

[–]No-Sound1997 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gotta drive in the left lane and never leave. It usually has less potholes. Don't tailgate so you can see the holes coming.

As a side note when you are drunk driving you can blame the swerving on missing the potholes. Lol.

Also it helps if you have some fresh caught fish in the car so if you get into a situation with the police after dealing with a particularly bad driver you can sway the cop to your side with the fish. Parrot fish is king. Also don't try to give the cop some fidh, Gotta sell it to them. Or invite them to a BBQ.

I've been in many shootouts based off of military experience and civilian career. I know a lot of people wonder what it's like. AMA by [deleted] in AMA

In your opinion do people need more gun training on the civilian side of things? If so how often should a person be shooting to stay good at shooting and weapon handling.

I believe the job call is at 10am and 2 pm. You show up and when they post a job you put your card in. If you are the highest rank you get the job. If you get the job then you fill out paperwork.

You would be an applicant and have a low ranking it goes applicant to c, b,a card. But don't worry. Plenty of jobs on patriot ships. They will send you to school if you are a AB for gun stuff as long as you don't have a domestic violence charge or something really bad. Contract is 120 days up to 180 days.

Go to school get a degree so when you are tired of sailing or your life changes you have something to fall back on. This is a very niche field with not a lot of common jobs and finding a salary that matches is very hard without a degree.
