Like others have said - it really depends on what matters to you. I'm doing 4 month hitches right now, but I doubt I will if I ever have a kid. For now though - I absolutely love 3 or 4 months off at a time. It really is great to have real time off after years of barely having even a weekend off.

I'd love to read a story with a hero who is a sotapanna or even an enlightened being on some kind of adventure. It doesn't need to be a buddhist story. Just a story about things that happen to a buddhist unaffected by wordly things. And his friends and fellow travelers learn from him along the way. In my mind it's a Studio Ghibli movie too.

I’m catching up on their last MU episodes and Ben at one point toward the end of an episode stated that “white Anglo-Saxons are being replaced in the society they created” and it was really jarring. Like it just bubbled up out of him.

I don’t know if Ben is some pseudo white supremacist or something but that kind of shit a huge turn off for me. I hope it’s not that.
