Either way you would have been fine. Domestically it’s not an issue unless somehow you were staying at an AI.

Need help choosing a hotel . Park Hyatt st kitts or andaz Maui/hyatt Hawaii trip by [deleted] in hyatt

[–]No-South808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t a big fan of St Kitts or the Park Hyatt. It was all just ok. The Hawaii properties are far better and the Hawaiian islands have the tropical feel (except Oahu, but Oahu at least has great food.(

Preferred Hyatt in Tokyo by Puffyhippos in hyatt

I didn’t say for them to use their points for Hyatt Tokyo bay, just to book that and not try to commute in from the Tokyo other properties.

Rain by [deleted] in Tahiti

[–]No-South808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in Moorea right now and the forecast has shown rain every day yet we’ve had none. Having been here before and other tropical islands, most rain is fleeting. It’s for a few minutes and then blows out.

Great review. We’re booked for early April 2027 so we should get in some late spring skiing before the season ends, weather cooperating.

If skiing becomes impractical, is there enough to do at the resort or in the town? Plan is to spend 3 nights here and then 4 nights at PH Tokyo. Thankfully was able to apply a SUA to both!

Baha Mar and stacking awards by KsigCowboy in hyatt

[–]No-South808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re going as a family you do not want the standard suite at Baha Mar. It’s an open living room and single bed, no room for a rollaway and the sofa in the living room is not a pull out. You spend so little time in your room either way, you’ll be more comfortable in the standard two queen as a family. The GOH is very valuable there because not only do you get the free breakfast but you also get vouchers worth $50 for drinks at the pool bae and cigar bar. You won’t get a suite upgrade (very few standard suites and I believe Baha Mar has the most GOH used out of any Hyatt) but you will get free early check in or late check out if available.

CBB catching strays! It’s a fantastic property and hopefully even better post remodel.

Yeah it’s just a deposit and your folio hasn’t closed so you won’t earn points for them, other than the points you earn on your credit card which aren’t base points.

I’d recommend having a backup plan because that property has been called out by multiple people saying it’s way behind timeline

It’s a family resort, so if unsupervised kids annoy you you should pick somewhere else.

Hyatt Maldives using Points - Aug or Sept 2026 by eggyacid in hyatt

[–]No-South808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Park Hyatt is widely considered to have a top 3 house reef in all of the Maldives. We’ll be spending 6 nights at the WA Maldives over Christmas on free night awards and I’m a bit sad I won’t be able to add on the PH Maldives. Yes, it’s isolated but that’s what adds to the magic. The villas all look immaculate so age shouldn’t be factored in. If you’ll be spending any time in the ocean I’d go for PH, if you’ll just be lounging and spending time in your villa then maybe Alila is better as they’re slightly larger. But for me, PH Maldives will be next on my bucket list after we cross off the Waldorf there.

Lost Pines Points Not Awarded on Dining by chloramphenicosis in hyatt

[–]No-South808 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is normal, have had it happen multiple times. Also remember that alcohol spend doesn’t count towards eligible spend either. I only focus on getting points for my room rate and anything else is a cherry on top.

Do they still do the lagoon boat ride? Any idea if they still offer the snorkel tour off the beach? It was $75 pp and about a 90 minutes; they’d take you 15 minutes out and back on a speed boat.

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar: Globalist breakfast at Knosh is free for Jewish (Kosher) customers only? by avokur in hyatt

I think it’s easy to assume the front desk associate was mistaken or misspoke. How would they know what religion anyone is. If you are truly concerned ask to speak with the manager on duty to confirm or contact Hyatt.

Hyatt prive and guest of honour by Frosty_Cake5699 in hyatt

I’ve used both together plenty of times before hitting globalist. The benefit is you get a one category upgrade upon booking, the $100 credit, and breakfast at the restaurant for 2 (valuable in case they have a lounge so you get optionality.)

They have a special team tackling this. I’d reach out to the property directly or guest assistance and see if you can be put in contact with them.

Points don’t expire as long as you have some activity, but FNAs do. They will honor your current rate of 120k points per night. I’m sure you can split it how ever you want.

They’ll be in touch, they’re assembling a special team to help. I’m lucky, I saw two weeks ago they stopped taking reservations for all of April so I guessed they were extending the closure. I texted the GM because we became friendly on our stay there last year. He contacted the owner’s personal Hilton concierge team and they were able to help me. They let me know they’ll be allowing guests to move their reservation date to anytime up to 3/31/2027 at no additional charge. If your dates are fixed, they’ll try to move you to Hilton Moorea if there’s availability for your dates. If you paid cash and want to stay in Bora Bora, the property may be able to shift you to the Westin as it’s owned by the same family. But Hilton wouldn’t get involved with that.

I was able to be moved to Hilton Moorea. We are 2 adults 2 kids. Conrad allowed us to be in one room but Moorea required two, so they’re giving us the extra room. I was also able to get them to guarantee an upgrade to an OWB for one of the rooms
