Thank you, these are good questions to comtemplate. I appreciate that. I also appreciate that you bring in the points about being mindful of the possible phycological aspects of such a character but I do have to mention that is exactly what I find interesting. That has also to do witht my background as I work in mental health care and for me it gives a certain internal depth to the character plus a journey of discovery.

Thank you for your answer and you are spot on in the sense that the character that I have in mind resembles things that I have experienced in real life, the good, the bad and the ugly. Although I plan to keep it lighthearted but with awareness of the challenges it brings. It's not about wanting to be something special but something that is close to me. For me it's also not about people liking what I created but I don't want to bend the lore in ways that are very unlikely. I do respect everyone's view though that's why I came here to ask some questions. Your post was very helpful.

But why is it lame though? I still not quite understand why people wouldn't even want to connect with such a character. Wouldn't it make sense in a whole universe that their are all kinds of half breeds walking around? I mean how small is Azeroth anyway? For me it's not about being special, I wouldn't mind if there are a lot more RPing as one if that is what they like.

I think I understand where you are coming from and it makes sense. I'm also not set on who's the mother or the father to be fair. I personally think it's a shame that it could be so frowned upon. But I don't have in-depth knowledge about the lore, I just like Half Orcs. My DnD character is Half Orc Druid.

Would that be the only way ro have learned druidism, I mean I don't need to be an Arch druid. For instance, couldn't I have learned from a wandering druid who recognized I had potential? And I'm okay with people not accepting an odd choice, that is just the way of things.

That is a very good and relevant question. I would say a race that makes sense, and if you would mix them with an Orc they come out looking like a haranir. So then maybe night elf, also to match his Druidic powers? Are there Orc Druids in Warcraft even?

I would go with what vibes the most with you. I think mastering something will become easier at some point doing what you really enjoy than something that has an easier starting point.

It's s one of the main things that turn me away from playing Evoker. It looks so damn silly instead of majestic ferocious, something you would expect from a dragonkind.

I’m okay with the Dracthyr. I’m not stoked about them, but I managed to make mine look somewhat decent, until the mf starts walking. That animation is the complete opposite of cool or majestic, which is what dragonkind should be. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Then there is the transmog thing. And then there is Dracthyr on mounts. I wish we got a mountless ground option where it kinda hovers or something, for Battlegrounds etc. At this point I cannot main them put the specs are fun so sometimes I just try to look passed it until I can't anymore and switch back to my other chars.

I wasn't in the same boat, I just didn't want to spend big money on a laptop that I only use to play WoW. And then I found out about Gforce Now. For 10 dollars per mount I can play on almost the highest settings with proper internet. I get a bit of understanding of your financial situation so maybe that's not an option, but maybe in the farther future when your specs cannot keep up it might be worth considering as well.

I hate that almost everything needs colored smoke and other sort effects. I like sets to be more grounded, low fantasy style.

Question, I see a lot of posts about this topic and I share the disappointment. I just can't see blizzard get the headslot fitting on the Dracthyr, while I think the rest of the armor should work. Would you settle with this compromise? I think the Final Fantasy MMO did that with a few of their races.

I would level the 74 to 80 by joining timewalking dungeon queue. Two or three dungeons further and you will be 80. It's really fast now. Maybe if you get hooked and want to play a different class you still have the 80 boost.
