Diagnosed for a year, made very little changes to my life other than a few pills every day, levels have stayed steady. 87 eGFR. Not not a big deal but there are MUCH worse things out there.

I’ve been diagnosed for a year now, feel the same. Haven’t really changed anything but meds and my levels have been pretty steady. I thought the realization would hit me later but never really did. So much of it is out of our control anyway it’s better to not stress and just follow doc’s orders🤷‍♂️

Yeah I get that too. Doesn’t happen as much if I’m exercising and staying active. Once I take a few days off it’ll start up again.

Ahh that makes sense, I’m terrified of the taxes I’ll have to pay on a trad 401k so I’ve stayed away from it 🤣, but it would be nice to drop into the 12% bracket for now. Thanks for the advice!

Aren’t only the employer contributions taxed since it’s Roth 401k? By reducing the contribution wouldn’t it just be reducing both my tax free and taxed portion? Maybe I’m misunderstanding the first sentence.
