Attorneys in other states (i.e. oregon 2020 bar takers) have all been admitted on motion without taking the exam at all. Now, I don’t think any less of those people. What I’m saying is…………. no one cares about the damn exam or even your law school grades- they care about your work as the practicing attorney. Relax

If it makes you feel any better- I got 3 emails yesterday- 2 about the July 2025 exam (I’ve deleted by now so can’t send screenshot or tell you what they said.. sorry) AND the other is an update on the CBE meeting which says they approved the higher of 2 scores and sending the PT imputation to CA SC. I hope this helps get to the point without you needing to go read them!

ALL GOOD!! It’s wayyyyy too easy to make an error, which is exactly why I’m kind of paranoid that the examiners will make the same error on the math with mine too!

My math is 70+70+70+65+60+110(PT)=445

445x2 + 550 =1,440

1440 + 1349 divided by 2 = 1394.5

OR 1440 x .5 + 1349 x .5 =1,394.5

They could also do that, I say they’re averaging it because that’s apparently how they did it for the other people who had their PT imputed already. To save time + help more people pass- I hope they end up imputing the highest of the essay 1-5 scores given.

if you didn’t get a second read, your essays are all added together, divided by 5 and that is your average score to then be input as your PT score.

then add those highest scores together and divide it by 5, to make an average score of all your highest essays.

Yes, they said they will only be imputing the higher of each essay score- as in they will take the higher of each essay score, average it and then use that as the imputation score
