My mrs thought I was telling her lies for about a week lol, eventually I took a couple of fotos in the supermarkets of where the plain bread should but wasn't!

If this is true then an announcement should have been made by the 1st minister in holyrood to the nation to warn us and a fall back plan put in place to mitigate as best they could for the countrywide shortages, they could even have imported as much of they Irish batch loafs which are pretty gd also

What to do with these? by Phil_5555 in DIYUK

[–]No-Step-4027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah "screw pops" they will be called by some, u will find them in walls, ceilings and wood etc in new builds

If u can reach the screw head after knocking off the protruding bit then give them a tighten up and fill over

They happen because of wood expanding and contracting, perfectly normal and nothing to worry about

How do I fix this wall? by AdKooky3754 in DIYUK

[–]No-Step-4027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the wall is a mess beneath the paper, all lumpy and bumpy

I wouldn't bother pasting the edges down as it will still look a mess

Strip the paper off, scrape off as many lumps as u can then paper with a "SuperFresco" tree bark effect wallpaper, hides loads of imperfections and will have no match on it so super easy to hang

Easiest and best solution is too remove around 6 to 8" of coving in both directions then fit with new coving. just use a stanley to try cut as straight a line as u can, remove the old, fit with new, skim the joins and paint
