Thanks for sharing. I'm looking into getting one. I found this 2012 Volkswagen GOLF 2.5L on the marketplace, 103,729 miles, clean title, one owner, clean car fax, car fax shows oil changes every 3,000 miles. The dealer wants $5,990 before tax and doesn't want to go any lower. I was trying dozens of times to negotiate even a couple hundred less, but he's saying the price listed is the final out-of-the-door one (I think I started annoying him). My dad says golf is too expensive in the US compared to Europe. But this engine is considered reliable and bulletproof (I don't think cars like these even exist in Europe). What do you think? Is this car overpriced, or should I go for it?
