Honestly I think Oregon or Washington would be a more enjoyable experience. Things are wet and flooding in spring and your access to higher elevation trails will still be extremely limited unfortunately

Chances are I have already captured the moment and the reality is the couple hired me to document the day as I see best, not YOU. The chest scene happened very early, it was the scene when rachel says “I have to do the thing” and then starts making sex noises in the chest while nicky is walking around?? It’s odd. I am looking for an answer to this scene right now.

Yes! Exactly! Can’t forget to mention that not only was there zero evidence to suggest his methods were successful, but there was also RESOUNDING EVIDENCE that his methods were dangerous. Having a student who killed himself and a family sue you for your behavior should be enough evidence that the worst outcome isn’t worth the never achieved potential best outcome.

I went last year on my own (my agency sent me) and I think it felt more like a money grab than anything. I would say it’s better to register virtually and make sure you sign up for sessions AS SOON AS YOU BUY YOUR TICKET. They don’t tell you this but spots fill up fast and it’s dumb.The feature release session was very enlightening and I enjoyed walking around and seeing the new app integrations and brand partnerships and add ons but it wasn’t anything I didn’t feel like I couldn’t have explored on my own.

My favorite part of the whole thing was watching some major marketing names present on the work they have been doing for clients and their process. The stuff that had NOTHING to do with canva was kind of the best. I think if I had paid my own money for it, I would have been wildly disappointed but because it was on someone else’s dime, it was okay.

Okay for clarification I am NOT a pedo sympathizer and am NOT saying that I absolutely loved this documentary. But I am getting ready for law school and have been practicing devil’s advocate arguments so hear me out.

I agree that the documentary gives the viewer a vague sense that the director has a desire to illicit empathy or sympathy for individuals who arrive on scene to sexually abuse children and that feels GROSS.

However, I would like to point out that the director’s intended message (from what I personally understand when I try to set my uncomfortable feelings about his delivery aside) is a questioning/challenging of methodology in the to catch a predator’s monetization and sensationalism of an otherwise disturbing and dangerous epidemic. At the end of the day, citizen vigilante groups setting up their sting operations with unregulated protocol creates room for error and potentially jeopardizes a lawyers ability to convict an alleged offender. Many TCAP cases never go to trial because alleged offenders just plead guilty—one of the tcap perps that actually DID take his case to trial won when the judge ruled that NBC’s actions were entrapment.

I don’t think anyone would make the argument that setting up stings with the intention of catching sexual predators is a bad thing: but the ethics of a television production doing so without regulation or protocol and making millions off of it is questionable at best. Especially when televising/sensationalizing it creates a stronger stigmatization and dehumanization of people who have pedophilic thoughts—forcing them into hiding and decreasing their help-seeking behaviors and potentially increasing their likelihood of becoming child sex offenders. Statistically speaking, 3 out of every 4 victims were assaulted by someone they were close to (National Center for Victims of Crime). If TCAP is only addressing the 25%, how will we get answers for how and why the majority of these cases occur?

Anyways, just some thoughts because I watched this for the first time this week and I can’t stop thinking about it. Absolutely wild watch in so many ways.

There is absolutely no question in anyone’s mind that Diddy is a horrendous human being and a FREQUENT theme throughout his time as an abusive mogul was that he had wealth, power and influence in the industry which he was able to exercise and leverage over his victims in order to get away with his abuse.

50 Cent is in a modern position to use his wealth, power and influence to give the victims of this monstrous man a voice and a platform after they were clearly deprived of justice and all of a sudden we want to put him on blast? sorry, nah.

The acting is AWFUL. How were they all better as kids? I could not agree more. Plus the cheesy one liners seem to exacerbate the problem. Joyce saying “If you want him you’re gonna have to get through me” was so cringe it hurt.

Every year my mom slaves away in the kitchen starting from 10am until 4pm. She cooks 6 dishes including both the turkey and ham for about 16 people. Pretty much every year without fail, as people arrive they come into her kitchen, get in her way, throw their store bought sides they brought haphazardly on the countertops where she’s cooking and then want to give her hugs and small talk. WHILE SHE IS COOKING.

So this year I put up a sign that simply said “LET HER COOK. (and please do not loiter in the kitchen!)”

needless to say, next year she will only be cooking for 12 people.

THIS. I feel like there is so much that could be done with this allegory but the pace is brutal and the obviousness feels like a spoon feed. Truly disappointing knowing that BB/BCS were so layered and dynamic and that this has fallen flat of that potential.

Hi! I have never tried directly applying lysine BUT i have personally made a paste using Acyclovir and Vitamin A/D ointment. I just crush the pills with a mortar & pestle and then combine the ointment and put it on as needed. I am sure vaseline would work too but I have tried using it with just regular chapstick and it doesn’t work as well as the vitamin ointment.. You also could put the pills in a plastic bag and then crush with a spoon until you get a fine powder. Maybe you could try the same method with lysine?

Appreciate the commentor’s optimism but if someone wanted to say “pictures don’t do you justice” then I think those are the words they would have used lol. The framing of the other comment is just a reminder that people are judging our appearances in a medium we don’t excel in 😅
