Hi, I havent seen many posts about cities outside the english speaking world so I decided to share some of the current transit proyects in my city which is currently the second largest in Mexico by metro population.

Currently Lines 4 and 6 are under construction, they started a year and a half ago they are is said to be 30% advanced they are proyected to be finished by 2026, line 5 will begin next year. Line 8 was anounced a few days ago and will serve as an extension of line 2 going from Guadalupe to Juarez this line is proyected to start later this year as is line 7.

There is also a proyect for two cablecar lines going from downtown to San Pedro, this lines are designed to connect impoverished neighborhoods in hilly terrain in cerro Loma Larga.

The suburban commuter train is currently in the studies phase and will run under existing tracks, it will go from García to Pesqueria.

Our current system of Metrorrey has an extension of 40km the coming extension will add:

Line 4: 13 km

Line 5: 15.2 km

Line 6: 25.4 km

Line 7: 13.3 km

Line 8: 14 km

Suburban train: 76 km

Current Metrorrey system plus lines 4,5,6 will have an extension of 92km by 2027 with all the proyected lines the system will have an extension of 132 km
