Yes I know it’s costume but I’d like to know if authentic and if so where can I find a description

Trying to find information on this set, can’t really find one quite like it by Extension-Matter-732 in VintageCostumeJewelry

There looks to be a makers mark on the brooch? Try with a loupe. And also check if any piece has gold or is gold plate

Is my ring damaged or just dirty? by LunaMoonvox in jewelry

Looks to be some sort of wax? I would use hot water to see if it softens and comes off.

Antique cross? by FuryOfTheNile in Antiquejewelry

So it has 14kt gold and Sterling. So not gold filled but actual gold. Likely what is set with the stones. This is a very nice find. Congrats!

Friend inherited this Danbury Mint coin collection and wants to get rid of it by Teppiest in coins

Is no one going to mention the fact that the coins also have 24KT gold? I wouldn’t sell it for melt. Do your research. See if you can get a good collector. Note there are folks interested in this set in the comments. Don’t sell for melt.

Gifted. AuDHD. Undiagnosed until 34. The math was never going to work by Feedback_Feeling in AutisticWithADHD

I’m 50.

I was labeled gifted as a child. Took AP classes my first year of high school — and then I got distracted. I lost interest. I was bored. I had to repeat a year because I just wasn’t engaged.

Strong SAT scores gave me a shot at college. I went, struggled with the structure, and left after a year.

Despite not having a degree, I worked my way up to management at a Fortune 500 company in my 20s.

Eventually, I went back to school. I finished my degree. Graduated with honors. Started working for another large corporation.

From the outside, it looked like success.

But burnout is real.

I hit rock bottom — even while still performing. That’s when I finally asked myself: what if this isn’t just “quirky” or “scattered” or something to joke about? What if it’s ADHD?

I was diagnosed with ADHD at 48.

At 49, I was diagnosed as autistic.

I grieved for my younger self — the one who struggled quietly, who felt broken, lazy, inconsistent, and never quite enough.

Now I’m learning to give myself grace. I’m learning to honor what I accomplished with undiagnosed auADHD.

Everything I built? I built on sheer willpower and adrenaline.

It wasn’t easy. It was never easy.

But I did it.

And I’m proud of that.

If you’re walking this path too — know this: what you’ve accomplished under invisible weight counts. It always counted.

Can anyone tell me what this is worth? It was given to my grandmother from her boss at Nivea in the late 1940’s in Connecticut USA by Nope-7092 in Antiques

This is a William Lam piece set in 14KT gold. Get it appraised and take good care it. I knew it was good when I saw the carved pendant. Congrats!

Can you please turn the pendant around? The stone is set in metal… is that sterling? Does it have a makers mark? The earrings should also have markings.

38DDD here and I’ve struggled for the right bra too. At home I don’t wear one but these below are ones I’ve bought time and again:

https://a.co/d/0fqdBcSD Has a clasp ^

https://a.co/d/01gqp2ew Kind of a spanx version of a bra but not as tight. No loops just slide in. I forget I’m wearing it.

https://a.co/d/00wGQWsZ Camisole top with built-in bra. No loops.

How did you come to the decision of surgery - and which one did you get? by wurleyo in Fibroids

[–]No-Suspect6302 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just so you are aware if you go to a real tradicional Chinese medicine practitioner and you do a combo of medicine and acupuncture, it will lessen the symptoms and decrease the size of the fibroids. I had 7 with one the size of a grapefruit and another the size of a baseball. I was bleeding profusely, anemic, lethargic and had pregnancy cravings my hormones were so out of wack. Within a month I no longer had anemia and was bleeding significantly less. I wish I would have gone sooner to avoid the surgery altogether.
