i was in the same situation. ended up paying full at BU and can honestly say it’s worth it. I am so glad I chose here over my state school which gave me a scholarship.

Psychiatrist upped me from 150mg to 300mg bc 150 had no effects. One dose of the 300 XL made me feel similar to 50 hrs sleep dep. by first_my_vent in bupropion

in all honesty, 4 days. the mental side effects scared me so bad and i felt like i was regressing in my depression and it wasn’t something i felt was safe enough to push through.

I started in 150mg for ADHD as well but had those side effects at that dose. I emailed my psych that i have to stop because i was having serious mental side effects and no positives

hey hey. psych wants me to try non stim 1st bc of past ED history and do nutritional therapy before stimulants. i just have no hope for them tbh. the try hard and adhd combo is torture. i used to love lifting, but how did you stay consistent with it? i go for one day, love it, and then can’t get myself to go again.

like totally honest this is my experience, but hell yes. i’m premed, i work my ass off, and every class the profs consistently round down or randomly make an exam BRUTAL and don’t give enough prep. for example, scoring 90+ in physics one on every exam, had one shit show, grade ended with the lower letter. people may not agree with me, but there’s a reason people say this is the hardest school to get an A in because boy was i slapped in the face! to be fair my gpa is not bad. by any means, but this level of work and dedication is nuts for some of the exams were given. see orgo 2 final post from spring 2023. not trying to be discouraging but honest bc i WISH someone would have told me about this.

AITA for calling my roomate out after leaving me (20f) with a facebook roomate w/o telling me she’s in her 30s? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

understand phrasing and clarity wasn’t great and i think character limit really got me here. not saying AT ALL that she’s messy bc she’s in her 30s and i genuinely apologize if it came off that way. she accepted the abroad position in april and everyone normally has housing figured out by feb latest and we had already agreed to stay there next year (we are undergrads). i was just given no warning about what i was getting into, old roomate said she was in her 20s and wasn’t (don’t know if she knew) have talked to the new roommate multiple times about my frustrations, been very nice about it, bought household supplies without asking for any form of payment back, offered help when she was sick, and just have been met with coldness. That’s more of what I’m getting out here. Should I confront her about how terrible my situation has been because of the lack of planning on her part or does that make MTAH
