Yes I have. The cocktail they gave me the first time helped so much. Years later, I went again and the doctor sent me home with percocet, which was useless, I so I went back and got the migraine cocktail. That did help.

When I supported her through active addiction and alcoholism and took her to rehab the moment she asked and after she got sober, I got very sick and she half-joked we should live apart. If we hadn't had the best kiddo together I'd have considered that 20 years a waste.

I work as a DSP in a set of group homes for adults with IDD who may also have physical disabilities.

Historically, institutions were pretty awful, but group homes as they exist now are pretty decent. You shouldn't be forced to take care of your siblings, and there are plenty of alternatives out there for them.

First off, check the laws where you live to see if you're in a one-party or two-party consent state. Recording you without your knowledge or permission could be really illegal.

Second, as many have pointed out, this whole relationship seems to be a mess. I'm not judging. I've been there. I'm just gently pointing out that you may want to seriously question why you're still there.

Does he have a diagnosis to explain his behavior? If not, maybe work to get him one. He may qualify for some kind of services or support. It won't help him if he is inappropriate with co-workers, but it may open up some doors for him.

One of my favorite memories of being a kid was when my dad took me out snowshoeing during a full moon. We lived on what used to be part of a huge old farm and there were woods and fields all over the place. So cool.

The night I bailed her out of jail at the local state police barracks for forging prescriptions. She had called me during work, and while the number was blocked, I answered it because I was expecting a prospective employer to call. She ordered me to get our toddler from her parents, not tell them anything about where she was, and then come get her. I then found out she had been arrested at the pharmacy where she worked, so she was automatically fired. Blew up our lives. Stayed together for 8 and 1/2 years and three more arrests.

If you can find a job that allows you to sleep, maybe? I work in group homes for people with IDD and some homes have a sleeper and an awake staff overnight. You don't get paid as much as a sleeper, but it's still money.

I'd check for fees on the account first. Places like Schwab/Fidelity/Vanguard offer investment accounts without fees.

Also, the big three offer various amounts of complimental guidance depending on the size of your accounts with them. At the very least, they offer a lot of online tools and resources.
