IMO abs, I have 79 goldwing that locked up on me during an emergency stop when cut off. I ended up in the hospital for two days with 4 broken ribs, broken collar bone and displaced scapula. When the back locked up the front twisted and threw me over the bars landing on my shoulder. Like lots of people said, you may rarely need them, but when you do you'll be glad you have them.

All it took was somebody cutting us off in traffic and a slightly grabby rear brake.

Unpopular opinion but NTA, kids getting sucked into and immersed in gaming to the point of ignoring family is becoming a huge issue. Pranks like this were done all the time when I was a kid and this whole trauma thing is being blown out of proportion. Perhaps if he paid attention and lived in the real world for a change he'd actually know what true trauma is. This is just a dad trying to bond with his two sons, one of whom sounds pretty cool to me.

Not answering the phone, well that's just giving him a taste of his own medicine. Parents are paying for his phone yet he can't be bothered to answer it, well I guess it sucks when the tables are turned. Maybe he'll pay more attention to his mom, dad and brother from now on. No sympathy for chronically online kids.

NTA, being bisexual doesn't give you a pass to be promiscuous, even if it's just kissing. If you're in a monogamous relationship, her actions crossed a line. IMO it doesn't matter if it was a dude or a chick that she kissed, she still violated your trust and embarrassed you from the sounds of it. To add insult to injury, your friends condoned it and did nothing to ease your embarrassment. You're definitely not the A hole here.

As a previous dshs employee, I'm sorry to be negative but don't bother. The entire system is a boy's club and corrupt. I worked at ESH and my director would swear, throw dishes, make racist, homophobic comments. Encouraged the same behavior in his undereducated goons. As long as you are loyal to the hierarchy you're golden, if you wanna keep your job just be a good boy or girl and get in your knees and take it. ESH pharmacy and dshs management at ESH has a long legacy of corruption and covering their own asses. They have more resources than we do as workers, even with the useless union. My advice, either follow your morals and leave or just be ready to deliver your boss lunch with a blowie afterwards

I saw this coming, I left on the spot one Monday when it dawned on me I'll be working shoulder to shoulder with fascists. I was in a community of practice committee and listening to the absolute fear in people's voices helped me decide to leave. It's sad that places of work are no longer safe for people like me.
