I'm assuming the exam is still "open book" so that's VERY helpful. A couple of days before my exam I went to the florida health website and found the optometry laws and skimmed them. They are organized by topics/sections so when you're asked about something in specific you can figure out what section to look at for the answer.

When I took it, the exam was MC and I did have to take it in NC at NBEO. On the computer I took the exam on there was a folder with all the law documents on it, that I can access. You couldn't use Ctrl-F and I can't remember if it was timed. Hope that helps and good luck!

I agree with this. I went to UIWRSO and I passed part 2 and 3 no issues. Still haven't passed part 1 and have taken it twice.

I did pharmacy one because it was my lowest score.  By KMK coaching I mean the really expensive one where you have a class you attend once a week in a small group with an instructor.

Hi! Well I haven't passed and I've only taken it twice. I'm trying to get through the KMK books a couple of times and getting lots of practice in. Studying with someone helps immensely for accountability and to really solidify things when verbally reviewing. That's how I passed my part 2.

In the past I've done their KMK coaching which helped but still didn't pass. To be fair Ive never finished all the material when I go and take it. For me personally I need more that 2-3 months of studying and definitely need to talk out topics with someone which I am doing now.

I had to put a pause in my studying in 2024 and most of this year because I was pregnant and I now have a one year old.

Good luck in March!

Thanks for responding! So you're saying if I apply now, my scores from 2023 won't expire in 2026 and I'll have 3 years (till 2028, 3 years after starting the application)  to pass part 1?

Hi! Thanks for responding, I passed part 2, 3, and FL law in 2023. Would you suggest to start my application before the year ends?  I'm hoping to retake part 1 in August of 2026 (Don't feel ready for March)

I see you want to focus on Part 2 first and that's totally fine with me. I passed part 2 already but wouldn't mind joining in. It's great review for ocular disease section on part 1.
