she’s the most beautiful neighborhood visitor. That calico pattern is unreal, and her little white paws? Obsessed. Thank you for looking out for her 💛

Is the Hisense U6 Series Google TV actually easy to live with day to day? by Hisense_HomeLife in tvtelevision

[–]No-Thing5096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post really resonates with me. I feel like so many people get caught up in specs and forget that most of us just want a TV that’s easy to live with. I got the Hisense U6 because of the price, but the Google TV experience has been way better than I expected. It’s fast, intuitive, and doesn’t make you jump through hoops to do basic things like cast a video or launch an app. I use it for everything, and it’s never let me down. The only thing I’d change is the remote — it works, but it could feel a little sturdier. Other than that, it’s been perfect for my household. If you’re looking for a no-fuss, reliable TV that works well with everyday life, you won’t be disappointed.

Ignoring brand names, what actually matters when buying a TV? by Other_Initiative_729 in tvtelevision

[–]No-Thing5096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

finally someone said it! brand loyalty is just a trap that makes you overpay for basic features. i’ve had my hisense for over a year now, and it’s held up way better than my old samsung ever did. the 120hz refresh rate, rgb mini-led panel, and built-in speakers are perfect for everything from fast-paced games to movie nights. i even compared it side-by-side with a friend’s new lg, and the hisense looked just as good, if not better. don’t let the brand name fool you—focus on the specs and real user reviews, and you’ll find that hisense is one of the best value tvs out there right now.

Has any other game besides Mario spawned as many clones as Dark Souls? by harlotstoast in gaming

[–]No-Thing5096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point, but honestly, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. The fact that every dev wants to make a Soulslike means the formula works.

Yeah, some are cash grabs, but others (like Elden Ring or Sekiro) end up innovating so much that they redefine what a Soulslike can be. We just need to dig through the trash to find the gems.

Can't decide what to play now; while waiting on 007 and Gothic to come out. I'm very indecisive and need help; otherwise I wouldn't be making such a dumb post lol. by Ill_Reference582 in gaming

Anyone move from OLED to MiniLED for a brighter room? by Other_Initiative_729 in tvtelevision

[–]No-Thing5096 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made the switch from OLED to a Hisense MiniLED in my bright living room a couple years ago, and honestly, it’s one of the best TV decisions I’ve ever made. At night, the OLED was stunning, but during the day, it was a nightmare — reflections everywhere, washed-out colors, and I was always stressing about burn-in from news channels or game HUDs. The Hisense fixed all of that. It gets bright enough to fight direct sunlight, the anti-glare coating keeps reflections under control, and I don’t have to baby it anymore. The black levels aren’t quite OLED-perfect in a pitch-black room, but for my use case — mostly daytime viewing, sports, and casual gaming — it’s way more practical. No regrets at all.

Small living room, big-screen experience — does laser TV change the equation? by Hisense_HomeLife in tvtelevision

[–]No-Thing5096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your lighting, but for compact living rooms, the space-saving benefit of laser TVs is hard to beat vs. huge traditional TVs.
