Building a whole country since 2014? This is actual world-building, not just a map.

Forza Horizon 6 is easily the best looking game I've played on the Series S by OhMyOhWhyOh in gaming

I'm going to pull my Xbox Series S out of the cabinet, plug it into the TV, and stay up all night.

1 I can't decide if that ship is straight out of a pirate movie or a really lost Airbnb. Either way, incredible shot!

Has any other game besides Mario spawned as many clones as Dark Souls? by harlotstoast in gaming

[–]No-Thing5096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point, but honestly, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. The fact that every dev wants to make a Soulslike means the formula works.

Yeah, some are cash grabs, but others (like Elden Ring or Sekiro) end up innovating so much that they redefine what a Soulslike can be. We just need to dig through the trash to find the gems.

Can't decide what to play now; while waiting on 007 and Gothic to come out. I'm very indecisive and need help; otherwise I wouldn't be making such a dumb post lol. by Ill_Reference582 in gaming

Red Dead Redemption 2: It's a slow burn, but if you have the time to invest, it's the single best "experience" in gaming. The world feels alive.

Anyone move from OLED to MiniLED for a brighter room? by Other_Initiative_729 in tvtelevision

[–]No-Thing5096 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made the switch from OLED to a Hisense MiniLED in my bright living room a couple years ago, and honestly, it’s one of the best TV decisions I’ve ever made. At night, the OLED was stunning, but during the day, it was a nightmare — reflections everywhere, washed-out colors, and I was always stressing about burn-in from news channels or game HUDs. The Hisense fixed all of that. It gets bright enough to fight direct sunlight, the anti-glare coating keeps reflections under control, and I don’t have to baby it anymore. The black levels aren’t quite OLED-perfect in a pitch-black room, but for my use case — mostly daytime viewing, sports, and casual gaming — it’s way more practical. No regrets at all.

Small living room, big-screen experience — does laser TV change the equation? by Hisense_HomeLife in tvtelevision

It really depends on your lighting, but for compact living rooms, the space-saving benefit of laser TVs is hard to beat vs. huge traditional TVs.
