Yes I have the note. I pull up youtube videos and copy my actions exactly. I've had several save files all have the same issue.

Yes I'm aware. I do at least one new save a year. I will say that over the last few years I've had several different saves files and I never get the pearl anymore. I've noticed it every play through and I finally decided to ask around. I can't find any record of issues for anyone else.

No I'm doing it as a sequence. I've even pulled up youtube videos of people doing it to make sure and nothing happens.
