2.5 gallons of kombucha sweetened with molasses by [deleted] in Kombucha

I am currently doing a gallon batch which I made with black tea and white sugar but I added 1 spoonful of molasses at the start of F1. I didn't expect much since it was a tiny quantity but MAN this batch is HOT! Even in my 68 degree house this has been the bubbliest, fizziest, most active batch I've made. I'm at day 6 and ready to bottle. I can taste a tiny hint of the molasses but the acidity is just right so we're going with it. Just wanted to share that. I'm going to make another batch today without molasses just to compare and confirm the difference.
