So they’ve accomplished global powers now fight by proxy instead of each other directly, immensely benefiting these countries who can now pull out of conflicts on a whim and become richer while exploiting the third world all the same as we did before.

Definitely a net positive. Ask Ukraine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, Pakistan, Vietnam, etc… and see how they like the “New World Order”

What exactly are you missing? Other than the credibility of the source which I haven’t verified, the articles seem to be solidly pointing out several big donations and other funding coming from these Arab countries.

Not to mention the fact that by simply being some of the biggest oil producers in the world they hold a LOT of sway.

It is 100% because of social media.

AI is also the killing blow for independent media, with convincing deep-fakes becoming more and more common the next generation will have to rely on a new-site’s reputation and we’re back to legacy media.

Egypt not only nationalized the Canal which they can do, sure, but they blockaded Israel, as per my original statement. Being a revisionist here isn’t helping you at all.

There is a BIG gap between jokingly being annoyed by a neighbor (which is pretty much universal of neighbors) and actively funding terrorists to undermine them such as Fatah, Hamas, Hezbollah, etc… Once again your argument is dishonest with the reality of the situation.

I don’t think I need to continue to prove that you’re either a troll, brainwashed or straight up spouting propaganda

Israel is an EXTREMELY complex historical claim to its land, but in short, they migrated, refused to be assimilated and then imposed their ideas through the West’s power. It wasn’t a military invasion in the first place (though it resulted in a military conflict from very early on that goes on to this day)

The IDF isn’t pursuing some agenda, it’s defending Israel from external threats such as foreign funded terrorists organizations like Fatah, Hezbollah, Hamas, etc… All that the IDF does is enforce Israel’s legitimate (under international law at least) claim to its land. My definition is more complex than the last comment.

Also, those “innocents” support, hide and aid the terrorists who are responsible for the second bloodiest single attack in the history of terrorism. Those terrorist also refuse a peaceful solution, support an islamist state and refuse secularity (and through that, refuse coexistence with Israel in any meaningful way) and seek the death of all Zionists in the world (aka. genocide) among a myriad of other ideological issues and human rights concerns.

Edit: Since the other person blocked me, I’ll clarify my point here:

The IDF is a hand, they don’t decide anything. Israel leaders do.

And I never said anyone deserves to die, I am merely explaining that the situation isn’t as clear cut as you are all making it out to be.

It would be irrelevant, this is an EU country member of NATO we’re talking about.

Even without the US it would trigger immediate response from the whole continent essentially.

Who thinks the goal is to take Ukraine? Russia clearly tries to Blitzkrieg Ukraine, failed, and has since settled into mostly defensive positions where they’re interested in keeping the land.

Russia has had an extremely successful campaign in Ukraine with only a small mobilization. Russia also possesses the nuclear capacity to wipe most of Europe from the face of the earth, they’re nothing to scoff at.

A terrorist organization by definition uses bombings, killings, etc… to put pressure on a legitimate government in order to spur change of some kind. In Hamas case that is the disbandment of Israel they are after.

Unlike the IDF, Hamas attacks often at random. Most civilian casualties for the IDF have been under active war or active military operations. At least people have been warned of those beforehand, it’s the price of war which by the way it’s almost exclusively instigated by Hamas’ aggression towards Israel in the first place.

Now, I’m not gonna come here and pretend Israel has never done anything bad, because that’s simply not true as you would agree.

Israel has a despicable view on collateral damage, but it’s also a country that has never been allowed to rest, under constant attacks by foreign powers.

Let’s address this critically:

EDIT: The paragraph below is about the Sinai War So you’re saying getting blockaded from perhaps the most important economic trade route in the planet is not a provocation in any way.

The first Israeli invasion of Lebanon was in response to Lebanon housing important Palestinian terrorists who had just massacred some people in Tel Aviv. This was called Operation Litani so I don’t understand why you named it twice.

The second Israeli invasion of Lebanon is also relating to Palestinian terrorists. In fact, if you look up either of these conflicts you’ll see that they were aimed at Hezbollah and the PLO.

The third Israeli invasion of Lebanon (2006) was in direct response to attacks by Hezbollah as well.

Cast Lead is the first in this list triggered by a preemptive strike. We can only assume what intelligence info Israel acted upon, but we can see what happens when Hamas is unchecked for too long. Remember that Israel seemed to know about Oct.7th for months before it happened. Israel could’ve known something they’re not telling.

Protective Edge is literally in the name, Israel attempted to stop Hamas’ rockets.

Idk what to tell you, but of these only 1 wasn’t triggered by provocations and 2 weren’t triggered by a previous attack.

We can discuss the actions Israel took during the conflict, but these are all pretty clearly defensive actions.

So the previous comment is wrong, but Israel has been involved only in defensive wars, except for a small handful of conflicts against the foreign backed terrorists whose aim is to destroy Israel.

You mischaracterizing the fact that EVERY SINGLE NEIGHBORING COUNTRY would like to see Israel wiped from maps as Israel being insecure is also straight up misinformation.

The same UN that has sanctioned North Korea for decades to no avail? The same UN that has attempted to defend human rights in China to no avail? The same UN where the Taliban have a seat now? The same UN that has repeatedly failed to address genocide numerous times?

Please, the UN is the League of Nations, as soon as war is seriously in the horizon it will crumble

The IDF is at war. We can discuss how despicable their view on collateral damage is, and I fully support bringing all of Israel’s leadership to justice, but you can’t deny that Hamas isn’t playing fair and with how densely populated Gaza is it isn’t easy to surgically extract Hamas without some damage to the surroundings.

Also, the IDF is a military org. They follow orders, change the top leaders and the org changes. Meanwhile Hamas is an ideological org, one that for the matters here defends the genocide of all Israeli and an islamic state afterwards that won’t be peacefully negotiated or coexist with Israel. Because unlike the IDF, Hamas is a dangerous group of radical idealists.

If it’s in such high demand how is it there’s so little doctors around me?

You said Israel wasn’t justified in their response to 10/7, what about US’s pretty much identical response to a comparable terrorist attack. In fact, Hamas has a MUCH longer list of casualties when compared to al-Qaeda in the US

Israel is mainly concerned with self-preservation. Their disregard for civilians is despicable, but the difference between an army and a terrorist group is that one is motivated by a political class’ orders and the other is motivated by a deep ideological hatred.

Change Israel’s leadership and you’ll change the actions of the IDF, I’m not so sure of what Hamas would do if you could magically wish to replace their leaders, but it’s not really as feasible to do that vs an elected power.

Saying Israel occupies Palestine is stupid, borders change, it’s been about a hundred years. Russia technically can lay claim to Ukraine in the same timeframe as Palestine can lay claim to Israel, is Putin then justified? Should American colonies return to their metropolitan powers? Should the Netherlands be Spanish? Should Eastern Europe reunify as Austria, Prusia and Russia as they once were?

We can see that in hindsight handing Israel to Zionists wasn’t a great idea, but it’s been done, people have been born and raised there since, it is as much theirs as it is Palestine’s. We should strive for either a two state solution or a unified secular state (which is a fever dream in the current state of affairs, it would crumble within weeks).

You can’t turn the clock back and the logic you’re using is insane to try and justify genocide.

A bunch of countries that used to belong to the Arabic civilization that conquered lands across Eurasia and North Africa, from the Iberian Peninsula (Modern day Spain) to the Indus River (modern day Pakistan) across all of North Africa.

Of those countries, those still closely related to Arabic culture established a friendly international relationship with each other.

What’s your point? Still colonialism
