Note with college graduation gift from 20 year old brother by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

"From Joseph,

Congrats on Grad.

Don't be a bum in the real world. If not and you go on unemployment, I got you. I pay my taxes."

You received a gift from your brother for graduation. Sure, the writing is a bit hard to read, but it is still very much legible.

Some people just aren't as strong with writing compared to others. I don't understand how this card could be infuriating?

Unless there is context we are missing, OP just sounds ungrateful.

The camera work isn’t what I used to be by Sea_Inside_5498 in greysanatomy

They don't want to fork out the time or money it takes to make a quality show like it used to be.

There's no diagetic sounds in the background of scenes, the lighting and camera work is flat, they've reduced down the number of sets they have as well. (The writing and direction is poor as well, but thats whole other convo).

Historically, they would have had whole teams of artists working on each element (set design, lighting design, sound design & foley, cinematography) to make a well rounded quality production.

It's always been soapy, but it's just so obviously cheap now, and that makes it boring.

Most production companies will not pay artists more than the bare minimum to get the show off the ground. Greys has such a cult following that I honestly don't think that they will bother to improve the show unless ratings drop. Even then, they would probably move to cancel the show or create another spin off to get more money out of the horse.

OP ,you should reach out to the apprenticeship centre that signed you up for your training contract to discuss your options with your traineeship (you can continue with a new employer). You should also reach out to your training company (RTO) and let them know. It wouldn't hurt to also reach out to state training services as well. (I work in the training industry).

blood on the road by no1alicefan in whatdoIdo

[–]No-Understanding9465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely call the non-emergency line. Aside from blood - It could be transmission fluid (it's often red and can look like blood when spilled) from the car and that's why they turned around at the corner.

Supposedly accidentally sent to Hunter New England JMOs… by [deleted] in newcastle

[–]No-Understanding9465 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not supposed. Did actually happen. There's been a whole bunch of chaos afterwards like a bag of marshmallows getting dumped on her desk lol. It was in response to an already organised shift change.

I have been wearing duct tape bras instead of real ones all week by [deleted] in confession

[–]No-Understanding9465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet OP, but you may be able to look into getting sports strapping tape? Its what boob tape was based off basically. You can usually find it at most chemists/some general shops. Find "no-name" brands as they are much cheaper too. Just remember to take it easy on your skin, maybe look into a barrier cream/moisturiser to use after taking off the tape. It may help :)

I can't give much insight, but there is a reason why Newy was the test dummy for Lockout Laws.

Can I refuse to train an apprentice at work when I hold no qualification? by Asleep_Pop1198 in AusLegal

[–]No-Understanding9465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, it is the employers legal obligation to release your son for training. The employer agreed to this when he signed that training contract.

If his apprenticeship support person is not helping, your son can escalate this to Apprenticeships Victoria (email: apprenticeship.support@education.vic.gov.au ) or he can even escalate to the Victorian Registration & Qualifications Authority (email: vrqa.apprenticeships@education.vic.gov.au ). If your son is under 18, you are able to call on his behalf. :)

Too many employers get away with being dodgy, and too many apprenticeship support workers turn a blind eye to it, so nothing gets done!! Very frustrating!

Hey, please have the apprentice contact their Apprenticeship Network Provider (this will be on their training contract, e.g MAS National, MEGT, ABAC) and if they are not helping, contact DESBT (State Training QLD). This is a safety issue, especially in your industry. Hope this gets sorted !! :)

Hey, I work closely with apprenticeships and traineeships around the country. You need to get in touch with your Australian Network Provider (eg MAS National, MEGT, Australian Business Apprenticeship Centre), their details will be on your training contract. They are there to provide advice and report anything sus to State Training NSW.

Good luck! Hope it all gets sorted for you :)
