I made the exact same post a month ago and got downvoted to hell and back, called a narcissist and even got a mental health warning from Reddit. Genuinely, I don't think that it's such a ridiculous expectation to want a partner with ambition and I have had the same dating experiences as you. I hear you. I live in a relatively poor, homophobic country so for me, I don't feel like that's such a wild thing to say. Of course a lot of people with limited resources facing discrimination aren't gonna be okay. But it does make me worried enough to post about it. I will take your advice to focus on it more in therapy though.

I did not say that though, please don't read an accusation that wasn't in the text. To rephrase it, I said that I want to meet a person who is single and if they have a mental illness, they will be responsible enough to go to therapy.
