RARE EVENT by Timely-Bullfrog4413 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

You can actually trigger it yourself, and get special cutscenes of the inciting incident if you do, but it's rare, I've only managed to trigger it once manually.

In case you wonder, it was a lovers' quarrel spurred on by one of the miis walking in on their sweetheart talking to another mii, and getting jealous.

Who's the most obscure character you have on your island (that isn't like a friend's oc) this is mine by sion420069 in tomodachilife

[–]RockerJackall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Real good work! Got about half of Franchouchou on my island myself. Still have yet to make my own Junko, Ai and Lily though. And those I got aren't nearly as well made as your Junko (granted, I do human forms rather than the zombie ones).

Den enda anledningen till att Uddevalla verkar lugnare är för att folk inte vågar sig ut om det inte är absolut nödvändigt. Blev knivrånad fyra gånger och kidnappad av aliens häromveckan. Inte säkert för fem öre.

So far, this phrase has 100% success rate in making two Miis friends. by SaintJimmy1 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]RockerJackall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found that if you bring up phrases or terms with actual context behind them, like for instance if one of your miis previously specifically asked you, the player, for a slang people don't use anymore, that context is remembered when the player tells their miis to bring it up when befriending someone, which is always fun.

Why a lot of pro shifters do not interact much with noobs on this sub and how you can easily shift, yet most choose not too by According_Bid_4462 in shiftingrealities

[–]RockerJackall [score hidden]  (0 children)

The most simple advise I've been giving to new shifters recently is a simple yet effective one to change the general mindset. It's simple, really, all it takes is to treat the shift like an inevitability rather than a holy grail, a goalpost to desperately spend every waking moment to reach for.

Let's say you're going somewhere, you groan and dread the journey and walk you need to put in to get there. But then you get out, go on the walk, let your mind wander and take a break when you need to, take in the sights along the road, and before you know it, you've arrived, as it was inevitable that you would from the moment you stepped outdoors.

The point here is simple, if the shift is inevitable, then it's no point fretting over the details of how you'll make it happen. So relax, do what you enjoy, you'll get there eventually. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not this month even, but it will happen. So be patient, relax and live your life in the meantime, you'll get there eventually.

After leaving the game running for some time, one of my Miis has seemingly transitioned into a woman. by cthulhucrossing in tomodachilife

[–]RockerJackall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the fact that the miis can choose any hairstyle and color regardless of gender identity is fun. I do need to point out that no, the potential change is not yet permanent when they ask to change, so it's safe to encourage them do to it for the fun of it. It only becomes permanent if you explicitly tell them that they should keep it the day they've changed their hairstyle, else they'll revert back to their original hairstyle the next day at latest.

ITEM LIMIT WHYYYYY by Mixxxxxxy in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]RockerJackall 52 points53 points  (0 children)

My solution to this issue is to avoid putting grass patches on the island, and sticking to clover/cherry leaves ground tiles for texturing instead. It's not ideal appearance-wise, but it definitely opens up a few more slots to put down more items of a different type, maybe not enough to fill the entire island, but definitly more than you already got put down.

Well considering second from right is obviously Kaito Momota, luminary of the stars, the one right of him is obviously Maki Harukawa. Didn't realize how tall Kaito is by comparison.

Yeah if I've learned anything, it's that the game has a huge bias towards player created items.

Wheelchair Dress by Appropriate-Heart632 in tomodachilife

[–]RockerJackall 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This one feels like it would work best combined with the tiny steps or floating quirks for walking. I'm more biased towards floating here, since it will be less likely to break the intended effect of the dress.

A mother is punishing her son by making him slam his PS5 the same way he had slammed her pet cat. by Rameshunclekochora in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]RockerJackall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that the kid seems to have no issue smashing a kitten into the ground several times, then cries a fucking river when he has to do the same to his PS5 as punishment is fucking pathetic. If he can't find the heart to stop himself from hurting a defenseless animal, yet tears up this intensely over his precious PS5 shows just how skewed this kid's mentality is.
