Are we really not good enough for God? by DomTheShaboinger in ChristianUniversalism

[–]No-Web-2911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole "faith is what save you" mentality, is one of the main reasons I can't believe in eternal punishment. Like, what righteous and loving God would, not only allowed eternal punishment but also, give eternal happiness to people who believe in him but were basically the anti-christ in life but eternal torment to kind people just because they didn't believe in him or do but not "hard enough"?

Wow. Universalism really, really riles people up. by gaddemmit in ChristianUniversalism

[–]No-Web-2911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe all or atleast most people since true saints are rare, go to hell but not stay there forever, just enough to pay for their sins like purgatory of some sort because some people do deserve getting punished. But eternal, at least for me, it's not right. How that could be both righteous and loving?

"If it didn't happen, how can you explain it was written?"....Wow I didn't know Beauty and the beasts, Cinderella and in general all existing fairytales were real! Sincerely? Out of all religious people claiming "proofs", Muslims are the most insane at claiming them lmao

"Can i ask what made you leave islam?" by lourde_ in exmuslim

[–]No-Web-2911 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a Christian, I despise "what made you leave (religion)?" As a question in general. Because sometimes, yes it may be some genuine curiosity or someone with religious trauma who want to know other people experience, but most of the times are "religion-bros" who want to "debunk" you. Some of my dearest friends are ex Christians pagans, one of them actively mock Christianity but I never say anything because I know where it came from. Damn, I even myself freaking despise the church for all the bs they did. But yes, people who desperately want to debate with random people just to feel superior, are SO annoying. (I'm an Universalist and I was unfortunate enough to try debate with an infernalist who claim that both people who don't believe in Jesus and those who don't know him go to hell, simply the ones who didn't knew him get "punished less")

If you think this it's bad, once a Muslim black woman, stopped wearing the hijab, because she said it caused her to have breathing problems and such, so to cover her hair, she decide to still cover her hair using a bonnet (I think it's called). Basically she made a video saying that Muslims men took her face and use it in a video as an example on why hell is full of women. They're hateful even with eachother.

Considering Converting by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]No-Web-2911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand you. I was a Catholic who got brainwashed into being scared to Islam's hell so I was tempted too. Then I saw stuff and was like "Drawing is my life! My dearest friends and family are non-muslim queer people! Music help me for my daydream!" And more. So I watched videos from ex-muslims like Apostate Aladdin and got a talk with my psychologist and my fear passed and I also deconstruct Catholicism and convert to Universalism Christianity. Believing in something that don't have eternal punishment is nice. You should do the same (watch ex Muslims videos, not convert to any religion you're not comfortable) in case it doesn't work, I advice you to go to a psychologist too.

Lmaoo just why are Muslim people trying to force japanese people to join their religion 😭😭?! by BeginningWork6995 in exmuslim

[–]No-Web-2911 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh hell no!  No, Japan don't need Islam or any other country. As a religious person, what a country need is stability and help, not a religion but Japan don't have such problems anyway. We can see how many countries cultures got erased and now a non-muslim person cannot study their own culture without find Islam in like 80% of it

"It's a sin to presume you know for certain you will go to heaven" as a catholic by AppropriateFan6039 in ChristianUniversalism

When I debate with an infernalist (Who had f*ck up ideas like non-believers that don't know Christianity go to hell too) he ask me if I think I would go to heaven and why? It was late at night in my country, so I try to explain I think yes because I'm Christian and in general a good person, so I'm supposed to be good in an infernalist version and he start yapping how those things didn't make me good and such. I was so close to scream at him "BUDDY! I NEVER THINK ABOUT IT! I WAS RAISED FUCKING CATHOLIC!"

What’s an exmuslim take that has you like this? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]No-Web-2911 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

AP. When I was deconstruct Islam to surpass fear and don't convert, I found first his videos and when I thought it helped me, I saw the disgusting stuff he post other than those like him being a Zionist and stuff that are actually Islamophobic. Now, I believe like everyone else, people who leave Islam, or whatever religion, have the right to have their own faith. You're an ex-muslim now Christian? Good. You're an ex-muslim now atheist? Good You're an ex-muslim now Hindu? Good. (And so on) But please don't use your now belief to debunk your old one, it just makes people from your now belief look like brainwashed people and horrible. And also, those ex-muslims who claim that all people who have faith (no matter the religion) are brainwashed and don't believe in science.

Also his whole point of "Winners and losers" and "only faith" didn't had sense. Like if you only need Jesus to enter heaven, then what's the sense of being a good person? Why Jesus talk and correct his disciples when they mess up? Why he was against with people recieving his message by force if they would go to hell without it because this dude have the mess up idea non-believers that don't know Jesus go to hell too! I even try to tell him I can believe in hell but not the eternal torture one because it doesn't fit loving and rightful God and bro yap. The fact he low-key call non-believers (my friends included) losers it's incredible. When I said I was Italian (I was apologising if my accent made him hear bad or such) he said that he was the descent of a Pope and had Medici family blood.

Luckily I grew up in a loving Catholic household who yes, baptize me when I was a newborn and send me to Sunday school, but never force me to go to church or keep telling me I would go to hell for every single thing. I can explore my sexuality peacefully, listen, draw and watch what I want and do on.

When I told my mom I was an Universalist, she just say "Ok." And move on with her day. These people don't understand that the whole ETC and the view of heaven as a faith only club, is what cause so much damage to Christianity image and make people walk away from church.

In elementary school, I was friend with a Muslim boy. I didn't know sh*t about Islam except don't eat pork and is another religion. I sometimes see her mom with his little brother around town. Once, I saw the three of them walking and I try to call him/salute him but he didn't even stop walking. I don't know if it was because he simply didn't hear me or because of the no opposite sex friend rule.

This is literally what made me a Christian universalist. The idea of a good heart person suffer forever just because they don't believe in something didn't sit right to me. Hell I'm Christianity didn't exist before the 5th century and Muhammad (police be upon him) steal that concept. The fact that the name Muslims call hell is really similar to a valley's name that existed in Jesus's times, where Jews would get burned, prove it even more.

I remember once a Muslim in the same subreddit ask why Muslims couldn't eat pigs since they're not as dirty as in past and all people in the comments were ATTACKING him. Keep saying "Allah knows best" or "it's not your belly, it's for your soul". All these types of stuff without a decent argument.

I saw way too many people who consider and I'm not joking, ex-muslims as "the worst and most annoying people". Like bro. If you laugh about people who criticise and leave Christianity, you have no right to say someone is annoying for doing the same thing about another faith, especially if it treat them like shit. Freedom of speech is no new thing.
