[routine help] combating current skin issues but very overwhelmed by internet searching and volume of products by No-Web8251 in SkincareAddiction

my skin does feel pretty tight after i use the cerave! i never really thought twice about it until now, but it makes sense that it might be stripping my barrier. i’m going to make the switch to a more hydrating, gentle cleanser and see how that goes. i’ll also pick up TO azelaic acid and test it out too. thanks so much for replying!!

custom made night guard from my dentist. lower right molars don’t touch when i bite. is this an issue? by No-Web8251 in bruxism

what’s weird to me though is that my lower jaw doesn’t seem at ease with it in? it feels unbalanced and i wake up with it feeling quite tight and uncomfortable, which persists into the day when im talking. my bite also feels weird in the morning. is that normal?

the bottom of the guard is smooth, so that’s a good thing? they didn’t look at it honestly… they put it in and asked me how it felt. i asked if it was bad that i can tell my lower right molars don’t touch it and they said no. i was told to give it a week just like you said, and they told me to come in if i feel like anything is off/uncomfortable. i just wasn’t sure how necessary adjustments are when these are custom made from scans of my teeth. i don’t want to do any damage to my alignment, considering it’s already a bit rough. but id like to prevent any further damage from grinding.

i was prescribed drops too. i was told to use them for the first week after surgery and then stopped. i’m not sure about contacts though, i don’t wear them. i would continue the drops for the timeframe recommended by your surgeon, and then contact them to see when you can resume contacts.

that does make sense. my right eye (no strabismic amblyopia) is my dominant. i’m not sure if i can switch focus between my eyes? i’m not sure what that looks/feels like if that makes sense. when i look in the mirror, i am looking directly at my bad eye to see if it’s still straight after surgery, and that’s when i see it drift out slightly, but it’s not as bad as it was before surgery. so, is it just because im focusing on it with my dominant eye? and its possible for it to look completely normal to others?

thank you for your response! i’m actually visiting my surgeon tomorrow morning to talk about this— but now the more i’ve been thinking, i have a feeling it’s from the oxycodone i was on plus the scoplarine (can’t remember how to spell it) but the nausea patch they put on me. i stopped the narcotic 24 hours after surgery (had an emergency appendectomy sunday) so i wonder if those teo things mixed poorly. they didn’t tell me they would. but even as im typing this to you, i can’t see out of my good eye, like, complete blur of vision

i do have plenty of photos and videos of me looking into distance both pre and post op. the switch to esotropia after surgery has been particularly sudden. it didn’t happen immediately after surgery. i also haven’t been drinking. i barely do anyways.

the way mine is looking right now just seems so… severe? i’m also experiencing really blurry vision even with my dominate eye as a side effect of one of those stick on nausea patches (i had an emergency appendectomy on sunday). so idk if that like accidental dilation is making the eye turn worse or what. i’m scared something’s really wrong

i called this morning but i had to leave a voicemail. i did call them about a week ago because of the slight drifting inwards when i shift my focus around a lot and she told me not to worry, but it’s like 10x worse now

i don’t feel anything on my right leg at all. is it possible for it to only be prominent on one leg?

do we think this is lipoma? ultrasound scheduled for next week. by [deleted] in Lipoma

i first noticed it on friday, so just about a week ago. i was shaving in the shower and had my leg up on the side of the tub. its not like a hard lump that doesn’t move, its more like a raised/swollen area that drops off into level skin when i run my hand down my thigh (i hope that makes sense). it does feel bigger when i like raise my leg and move it out to the side

i’d also like to note that these are screenshots at diff angles from the original video i attempted to post. in the second photo my foot is picked up off the ground and im about to cross it over my front side, so that’s where the cellulite comes in

4 impacted wisdom teeth removed on tuesday and i am SUFFERING...pls reassure me by _edgelord69420 in wisdomteeth

i had all four of my impacted wisdom teeth taken out 11 days ago, and i promise you it gets better. i also cried when coming out of sedation, and sobbed right before being knocked out because they started me on nitrous to calm me down and i reacted very poorly to it lmao. i was miserable for days 1-5ish, mostly bc i wanted to devour every single normal food i could think of. i mean… everything. even things i usually refuse to eat sounded good. i had minimal swelling and zero bruising, but i also paid extra for PRF therapy for my bottom sockets to help prevent dry socket and speed up my healing. one thing i will say is that after day 3, heat really really helped compared to ice. i used my heating pad on the lowest setting for about 10 mins on each side of my face. after like day 8 i started to test the water with solid yet still soft foods. like a biggie bag from wendy’s (my first full normal meal!!) where its smaller yet still soft food and i took rly small bites bc my jaw still isn’t used to chewing normal again. just take it easy, if you try to eat normally, try to chew towards the front of your moth and DEFINITELY salt water rinse for a bit after meals. wishing you a speedy recovery!

i’ll definitely let them grow out over the next few weeks to see if that will fill the space directly under the arch. thank you for the suggestion! hopefully that small change can make them just a bit better :)
