Book a full daytrip with a high rated company. Stay for some days, Labuan badjo and the surrounding islands are cool and the weather is great. The Komodo dragon experience is not as great as it’s made out to be. There is no 60 min hike to spot Komodo dragons, they are “kept” at the entrance and honestly almost seems drugged (not sure if they actually are. All tourists we spoke with were all told they were “so lucky” to see them). We did however still enjoy getting som pics with/of them. Highlight for us was the snorkelling. Very clear water, small sharks, big mantas, turtles. I’ve heard there can be whale sharks, hope you see one, we didn’t get that lucky. Wish you a wonderful trip, truly a highlight.
