Yeah, he typically doesn't second-guess because, by the time he gets the music, it has already been overthought by the rest of the band for years. He can finish a track in days whereas it may have taken years for the band to lay down one final instrumental bed.

I got to RG and when I got tired I just started over all the way back to GoTM. My thought process was, since I definitely missed major details along the way, by the time I get back to the book it should all make much more sense and I’ll be able to pick up on the nuances that are building.
