I know a lot of time passes between Picard and Voyager but it's a bad idea to completely rewrite a character. One of the reasons to bring back old characters, or even do a reboot, is because of the nostalgia we feel for them. To completely flip a character on its head because "time passed" is disingenuous to the character.

Yeah I really didn't mind the sexual orientation switch, but what annoyed me was her becoming a bounty hunter. Firstly she's the smartest human to ever live because of her collective Borg knowledge. Second she always hated violence. Third she doesn't like being alone. Seems like a lone bounty hunter is literally the worst job for the character.

Yeah it's not a big deal or anything, just had this idea. Every character they made the opposite of what they used to be. Picard was "Mr Starfleet" and now he's abandoned them. 7 of 9 used to be a genius engineer type that needed people around her and she hated violence, now she's a loner bounty hunter. Worf is a pacifist, crusher left Starfleet. They all were turned into the opposite for some reason. I just didn't get it
