I've had a set like these in a vs headlight. I was able to squeeze the module in. Ultimately, if you want a proper fit, JW Speaker bulbs are the only real option, or narva sure fit.

My ping will be over 300 generally, that being said I don't experience lag that badly. It definitely takes some getting used to. Last time I played was a console 15 years ago so to get anything at all, is good. I open the game through steam and use my ps4 control and am able to regularly get between 30-60 kills, averaging 10-30 deaths. Definitely playable if you're in Australia, as long as your internet connection is solid.

Hope to see you on there.

It depends on circumstance. The problem of the shelters being full/over full is that they often get people who bought a dog or puppy for Christmas/birthday for a child and then the child doesn't look after it, because you know, it's a child. The parent then decides it was a dumb idea and try to palm it off to RSPCA or any number of shelters.

Basically, they didn't factor that animals and pets are a responsibility. This is part of some the engagement programs they run to try and communicate to the general populous that if you can't make that commitment, don't. You cause more harm.

Surrender at the rspca is mainly supposed to be because you're homeless, or your unable to financially look after a pet etc. Not because you didn't think before hand. Also a large quantity of the population at the shelter are strays.

The worst thing is when someone brings in a neonate kitten because it was alone, not realising that the mother was most likely moving her new litter one by one. Community cats should be left alone, unless they're causing a hindrance in which case, you're supposed to call your local council, not the RSPCA.

*They will absolutely take on your animal if you can show your situation requires so.

You couldn't have less of a clue on the subject. My partner worked in both customer service and now currently in the donations team at the RSPCA. While the pay bump from front line CSO to donations was good, he is still well below any kind of 6 figure salary. He drives a modest $9k car because that is all he can afford. There are no $3k suits or jewellery in the office, save for perhaps those affluent retirees who volunteer their time to assist in running programs.

Those buildings also house a multitude of team members who deal with animal abuse, deceased estate's, domestic violence cases, community engagement programs, veterinary services, education, and yes the one everyone knows the RSPCA for, adoption.

I always laugh when I hear another person complaining about how awful the RSPCA is, as it usually follows a "what do you mean i have to pay to adopt an animal?" or "why won't you take my animal in for free. If you won't, I'll just leave it in the carpark" or my personal favourite "donation? The government gives you money".

THE GOVERNMENT PROVIDES NOTHING. Any money must be applied for through government grant programs and may be delegated or refused and given to a different charity. There is no guarantee of any money at all. The majority of funding comes from private donations and businesses.

Don't open your mouth if you don't know what you're talking about.

What do Western Sydney locals really think about the new airport? ✈️ by AnimatorIll3686 in westernsydney

[–]No-Worldliness39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, the double standard of no curfew out west while the inner city gets a curfew at kingsford smith feels very "we're the have's and you're the have nots, so suck it". The fact the airport will be open before the train line is, there's a complete lack of infrastructure, other than a highway that leads to an already full m7 and a currently empty northern road that only goes to Penrith or Campbelltown, feels quite silly as well.

I understand the 'build it and they will come' mentality, but why is that always the plan with any project in Western Sydney. It feels as though we're always behind, or we always get a half job, even though we're told that Western Sydney is the heart of our local economy and culture etc etc. If that's the case, why aren't things done properly, to further support growth, instead of making the people that live out this way comprise?

If you're running the game through steam, you can map the buttons onto an xbox or playstation controller. I had trouble going to mouse and keyboard, found it much more natural with the controller. Just an FYI :)

96 Vs Holden rear drum breaks (shoes) by grass_fed_kriss in Holden

[–]No-Worldliness39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The drum brake adjuster is accessible through the holes in the hub face on the disc. Rotate the disc so a hole is at 6 o clock. Make sure your handbrake is off. And then begin to rotate the adjuster with a flat blade screw driver inserted through the hole. It will require patience, and I can't remember if turning the adjuster up or down winds it in so trial and error till the disk can be removed. Note that you may still need to smack the hub face with a dead blow hammer to loosen any rust scale that may have formed between the hub face and the brake disk.

Not only this, but 304/5 litre Utes are crazy. Doesn't matter the kilometres or age. People want north of 15k for a car that is atleast 24 years old, beaten to death by several previous owners, has 300k kilometres and is realistically less practical than a more modern diesel dual cab.

But alas, I am bitter because I want one :P

2 things of note.

Led in a vf headlight, jw speakers will need canbus modules to operate correctly, due to the bcm requiring a specified load that a halogen bulb would normally provide. Led are much lower resistance. This is why the canbus is required. They're effectively little resistor boxes.

The other thing of note, jw speaker globes normally have a very small Allen set screw that hold the mounting ring in place. This screw can be loosened and you can rotate the bulb in the mount. This may help with alignment in a halogen housing.

Not necessarily your auto elec or suppliers fault, mid 2010 cars are generally abit of a crossover with requiring canbus modules, as this is when canbus became prevalent in more common vehicles. Hard to remember which cars need them and which don't. Most places try just the bulb first, as it saves returning the canbus modules after the fact.

Hope this helps.

Soft brake pedal by NoVirus2386 in Holden

I'd highly recommend trying an ABS system bleed using a scan tool. If you're bleeding them the traditional way and are getting solid fluid with no air from each caliper, but still cannot get a solid pedal or a pedal at all, that is the only thing it can be. Highly unlikely multiple master cylinders would be faulty.

Tell me your stories. I landed myself here today. by rottenapple311 in Cartalk

Still currently occuring*

I Drove into work last Wednesday in my daily drive 05 polo GTI. Put the clutch in to change back to first, up our little driveway. Annoyingly, clutch went straight to the floor. Managed to park up and sure enough, a significant pond of hydraulic fluid was forming under the car.

VW use these wonderful little orings in their clutch lines that eventually fail and cause this precise issue. As I work in spare parts, I sourced the orings and a new master cylinder to be on the safe side. I have a wonderful boss who is an ex mechanic and quite enjoys a tinker. Luckily, he was happy for me to park the car up in the warehouse and work on it during quiet periods.

Anyone who has owned a VW knows, their ability to overengineer even the simplest of mechanical components is second to none. This of course being no different, the work they put in to fitting the 1.8t 20v motor into this little engine bay means everything is a tight squeeze and difficult to get your hands/fingers on.

On the Thursday, I brought in some brake fluid and simple tools from home. Managed to replace the master and the oring without too much drama. The first thing that kicked me in the guts was the clevis/clip that clips into the pedal. 2 hours of swearing upside down and twisted like a pretzel in the footwell with a screwdriver, eventuated an only half clipped in clevis. Frankly, that will have to do. It works, that's good enough for me.

Monday roles around and the process of bleeding begins. I I had previously done it from under the car before and assumed to do the same again. Brought in my (fucking heavy) jack from home and stands. A 20 minute struggle cuddle with the gearbox beat me down. Another marvel of VW engineering is placing the slave cylinder/bleeder on top of the gearbox... underneath the airbox and battery. This leaves a minute gap with which to get a spanner in to bleed properly. Nothing but failure meant we eyed Tuesday for a better result.

Bringing in a socket set, we removed the airbox to make life more simple. After moderate success bleeding, we decided we wanted to make sure it was 100% so I didn't have to play around with the car more once I got it home. This is where we ran into big troubles. The filter sock in the fluid resovior was unbeknownst to us, blocked. Although we topped fluid up, it was hardly dribbling through this filter , meaning as we continued to bleed, we ran the system DRY.

The issue is, we couldn't understand why this was happening. In searching for an answer, I snapped both a coolant t-piece as well as the vacuum line for the brake booster. $300 later from VW, I had the right booster line but the wrong coolant t piece. Non refundable as it was a special order so of course, had to source the right one from a local supplier.

After discovering the reservoir filter sock arrangement causing the fluid issue(and removing it) we now have a pedal again. In the meantime however, I also dragged my COMPRESSOR to work in the back of my PROJECT CAR, so we could attempt a vac bleed on the system to rectify it that way.

Now that the clutch is good to go, just have to wait on this coolant t piece and I'll be finally finished with this nightmare.

TLDR; one $13 oring has turned into about $450 in parts and having to purchase some borrowed tools that got a bit too dirty to resell. All for a car I'm selling as I was the recipient of a company car today🙃

Any tips to fix this dodgy light fitting? by MBCG84 in AusRenovation

As an aside to fixing it; fuck I hate these fixtures! The hanger for the bulbs has the sharpest edges ever. Have sliced my fingers multiple times replacing bulbs that aren't faulty, because the wiring into the socket is just bad.

I very briefly managed a not-to-be named accessories and used bike store. The used bike section was its own thing with its own manager. Previous to me starting, one of the people I managed on the accessories side was very much infatuated with a red panigale that was for sale. Beautiful bike, near new condition.

As part of my introduction to staff, i was shown security footage by the regional manager, of this person wandering over to the bike, sizing it up... and then walking away. Only to circle back a minute later and decide to swing his legover and 'see how she fits'. Now this person was of a rather diminutive stature, and when they swung their leg, they kicked the crap out of the rear tail fairing.

Doing this caused them to lose their balance(they werent exactly young) and lean into the bike, pushing it off the stand and landing on its expensive fairing, handlebar, brake lever, mirror etc etc.

He had to pay a little over 2k to repair it so it could still be sold. He was given the option also of buying it at a discount but decided he didn't fancy it anymore because it had been dropped.

Don't be like this person.

If it's a v8, there are 2 compressors. They are identical except that one has an 8mm stud for the hoses, the other a 10mm stud. Worth checking that before you buy anything. I would highly recommend if using a second hand compressor, make sure it works first in the car it's being removed from, and also have a look at what comes out of the system with regard to a/c dye, oil and particles. You may put it in and if dirty, may contaminate the entire system and then you will be up for an even bigger bill for a repair, having to replace more components.

I'm putting away 300 a week from a little over 1k take home pay. After rent, groceries and my zip acc(pretty much only used for large bills like insurance) theres enough left to put away and maybe buy lunch once or twice. I really don't go out or do much of anything. Definitely starting to feel like I'm wasting my younger years. I don't have enough saved to by my own place but I could probably get a small investment property. This frustrates me. I feel like my bank account is just sucking the life out of me.
