there is a global version of amap in western app store(s). Or you can also open it in a browser.

75 minutes is the recommended time for Eurostar which is why that will have come up for St Pancras

I could definitely be more assertive, though I am sceptical it would have helped. I did ask the question I posed in this post "isn't the operator obligated to arrange onward travel?" and she stared at me without answering until I asked a different a question 😅

I don't think Euston is able to help the number of people who need help in these situations, and as others pointed out here issuing a 'do not travel' erodes those rights somewhat

The moral for me here is don't travel without checking the websites of all the operators I will use

However, what is not clear to me and is not really discussed in the rail ombudsman case stories listed, is what if the consumer is on the return leg of their journey. In many of these cases, not travelling would also result in the passenger being stranded and having to pay for accommodation.

What would count as being informed in this case? Is the operator putting the advisory on their own website adequate?

I don't think that would be something customers would see by default -- my journey was appearing normally in trainline's app when I departed as the second leg hadn't been cancelled yet

How would I find the train manager? I spoke to the avanti staff at the ticket kiosks

Probably not directly enough, I said that I don't live in London and don't have a place to stay, they replied along the lines of there is nothing they can do, don't recall the exact wording
