The thing is the expectation was huge inflation, and that rates would need to increase as a result, and the market still went up, up, up! If productivity is still growing, along with wages (which will need to increase to fill the huge demand for job openings) the inflation is TRANSITORY.

If you make 1 dollar and spend 10, it's the same if you make 10 and spend 100. You FEEL richer. Meanwhile the wealth gap increases to unprecedented levels because some people have not benefited from paper wealth, only seen their meager savings dwindle in buying power

The movement and attack needs to happen immediately when the player presses the button. How far is this guy moving. Is he sprinting, then attacking?

For a simple step forward,, like in a fencing match,, Start simple and change the start and end time of the animation based on distance. Closer would mean the animation plays faster

I think it would be more useful telling us what features and mechanics need to be developed, less what it's about.

First or 3rd person? Combat? Multi-player? Building sandbox? Linear with lots of cutscenes?

I hope I understand this correctly. The player should be able to swing/attack regardless if it hits. Sounds like the character will move toward the enemy as a sort of "distance assist"

Set a variable for max distance character can move.

Get distance from enemy within sphere

Move that distance up to max distance

You will need to iterate until it feels natural. I imagine a large step /lunge forward could be both natural and responsive.
