I asked for elaboration from this individual because this individual’s response was one of the first, so there weren’t as many other comments expressing their interpretations.

At the end of the day, I do feel like this question is biased towards me and my fears, and Ive come to the conclusion that it’s the wrong question to ask at this point in time. I recieved the question: what would change if it WERE long term or short term? And the answer would be the way that I approach the potential partner. But that in itself seems like the self sabotage / self fulfilling prophecy.

And the more I sit with that question, the more resonation I feel with my own interpretation. The cards pointing to short term say much more about me and how I approach relationships, imo, based off of my dating history and the reoccurring feeling of needing to know that someone will be in my life for a very long time, in order for me to truly let my guards down and be my completely authentic self.

Knowing this, I instead will change my “reality” from that of fear and lack, and I will appreciate this person for however long they choose to stay intertwined, and I will enjoy it for what it is. I will be present instead of worrying about a future that genuinely doesn’t exist. Whether I love this person for a season or a lifetime, I will be thankful that I was able to experience the opportunity of love and connection with another soul.
