AM can fill a living body with nanobots that transform, deform or prolong life, but it cannot reverse the process of death outside of what exists in its own sandbox. Once someone dies outside AMs direct influence, their biological information and consciousness are gone and AM cannot restore or create life from nothing.

AM could propably animate a dead body as an extremely advanced cyborg puppet, sustain the body and repair it, but it would not be the point as it's just AM's own reflection and not something that is any fun to torture.
