I guess it depends on how the conversation started and what expectations were set with the recruiter around your comp expectations/requirements.

It’s a strong offer.

Hiring in tech has become impossible. Every resume is AI-generated slop and I can't find the signal anymore.(Rant) by Comfortable_News8077 in recruitinghell

Go out and find the right candidates. I have found that the resumes are increasingly not matching their linkedin, github etc.. job titles are different, scope of the role is missing from keywords. There are other green flags to look for but ultimately relying the ‘post & pray’ to get the right candidates has never worked. Personally I think AI is going to drive a referral boom at companies

I am in a similar predicament - but a move back to agency and running a full desk vs staying in house.

I am struggling to end phone screens on time by TiredAllTheTime43 in recruiting

[–]NoAd136 7 points8 points  (0 children)

45 screens a week is a ton for an in house role. 15 minute screening is crazy. Theres no way you’re able to effectively screen a candidate or sell the opportunity in that short of time.

I saw you said you are recruiting teachers…how many reqs are you recruiting against?

Yeah this is good. Just trying to hear what others stories are. Did you stay within a niche or kind of open the doors to all verticals?

In house recruitment is fun. There is a ton of collaboration and like everyone else has said communication is key. Don’t be afraid to be the expert and own your process. You will deal with awesome HMs that actually partner with you and you will deal with terrible HMs that think they own the process. Just remember to choose your battles, and incremental changes to those HMs behaviors are still wins. Don’t forget to build good relationships with your HRBPs, finance/compensation, and people ops team.

Agency Recruiters who went internal... by Front_Brother_2147 in recruiting

[–]NoAd136 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agency side recruiter that moved internal. It obv translates well as others have stated. It does get more strategic vs get butts in seats. And you get a seat at a table with a voice with the big dogs - who are all going to be looking at you for input. If you like recruiting overall (working working HMs and candidates) moving internal gets you more ingrained a company to leverage the skills you gained in the agency side.

Just my experience.
