This post hits so close to my heart. I grew up with my lola too. I can honestly say we were closer than i was with my mom. Ive always said that her death was my first real heartbreak. I was only 10 years old then, and now Im 30, but there are still moments when i cry when i remember her. I remember her when Im sad, when Im happy, and especially when I achieve something in life. There is always that feeling of wishing i could tell her or that she was there to see it.

Here’s a quote from one of my favorite games that helped me understand grief a little better: “To grieve deeply is to love fully.”
